In a strategic move to tackle gender disparities in the web3 sector, World of Women (WoW), a pioneering NFT project, has partnered with the Tezos ecosystem. This collaboration aims to increase female involvement and leadership in the blockchain industry. Currently, women represent only 27% of the workforce and a mere 13% of startup founders in this field.
The initiative introduces “Women on the Web” (WoW) on Tezos, which is a dedicated platform designed to empower women by providing increased access to web3 tools and essential resources for successful blockchain ventures. By leveraging Tezos’s resource distribution protocol, WoW aims to facilitate crucial funding and mentorship for women-led projects. This supportive environment is expected to foster collaboration and innovation among female entrepreneurs in the digital space.
In order to advance its mission, WoW is using Etherlink, a Tezos-powered Layer 2 blockchain solution recognized for its efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This technology guarantees that transactions within the WoW community are swift and dependable, simplifying the active and secure participation of women in the web3 ecosystem.
