XOCIETY has officially started its Phase Zero Cross-Play playtest, offering players a chance to earn from a prize pool of 20 million $XO tokens, valued at around $148,000.
The 15-day event, running until September 1, marks the game’s first large-scale test of cross-platform gameplay and onchain prize withdrawals.
Cross-Play and Controller Support
Phase Zero introduces live cross-play between PC and the handheld SuiPlay0x1 device. For the first time, players can also experience real-time controller gameplay. The test serves as both a technical stress check and a community event, giving players a direct role in shaping the game’s future.
A total of 20 million $XO tokens will be distributed through several channels. Competitive matches hold the largest share with 12.5 million tokens, while the Battle Pass offers over 3 million. Daily logins provide 4.4 million, and additional rewards are available through in-game challenges and out-of-game community contests.
Competitive and Casual Play Modes
Players can choose from three modes: Unrated, Competitive, and UGC. Competitive Mode offers the most rewards, where players gather MOTUS, convert them into XO Packs, and then redeem those for $XO tokens or exclusive in-game items.
Each match hosts up to 30 players, split into 10 teams of three, with weapon and skill choices locked until new items are found during play.
Battle Pass and Daily Events
The Battle Pass includes both standard and premium tiers, unlocking token rewards as players progress. Daily check-ins give further opportunities to earn tokens, with bonus rewards for those who log in all 15 days.
Achievement events during the test also add competition, with $XO prizes going to top performers in categories such as most player kills, most credits collected, or most XO Packs extracted.
Content Creation Contests
Outside of gameplay, XOCIETY is hosting two video contests with 100,000 $XO in rewards. Players can submit clips of clutch plays or creative highlight reels by posting them on X and sharing the links in the official Discord. Entries will be judged on effort, creativity, and quality.
How to Join
Anyone can take part by downloading “XOCIETY: Phase Zero” from the Epic Games Store. Servers run daily across three regions, with extended EU sessions during Gamescom week from August 20 to 24.
With its mix of competitive modes, tokenized rewards, and community-driven content, XOCIETY’s Phase Zero test is a major step toward building its long-term player economy.
About the $XO Token
$XO is the game’s native token with a maximum supply of 5 billion, powering the in-game economy on the Sui blockchain. Players earn tokens through gameplay and events, with a “play-to-prosper” system that connects in-game spending to shared rewards. Tokens earned during Phase Zero will begin unlocking from September 26 under a vesting schedule.
