Zeebit, a trailblazer in blockchain gaming, has announced the upcoming launch of a pioneering on-chain microgaming platform on the Solana blockchain. Utilizing Sonic’s cutting-edge infrastructure, this platform will offer various gaming experiences tailored to cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
The new gaming platform by Zeebit is crafted on the Sonic Virtual Machine (SVM) and promises a blend of traditional casino games, player-versus-player (PVP) options, and unique web3-centric gaming modes. This venture is described as a “degen playground,” emphasizing a commitment to provable fairness and non-custodial, direct transaction settlements.
“Our collaboration with Sonic is possible thanks to the enhancements made to the SVM in recent months, utilizing core functionality to unlock new types of games and experiences. Zeebit will be among the first game platforms launching on Sonic, offering one of the first opportunities for folks to experience what Sonic has to offer, and participate in growing the Sonic ecosystem,” said Bayzian, core contributor at Zeebit.
Leveraging Sonic’s Scalable Layer-2 Solution
By leveraging Sonic’s Layer-2 scalability solutions explicitly designed for high-demand decentralized applications (dApps), the platform ensures that all game-related transactions are settled on Solana’s primary layer (L1) to facilitate an efficient gaming experience without sacrificing security or performance.
Transitioning from Zeebit’s current Solana-based platform to Sonic L2 will involve migrating all player data, including histories, statistics, and points, to ensure continuity and integrity for its users.
“Zeebit stood out to our team immediately as they weren’t just building another crypto casino: they are a highly technical team that were looking to fully utilize the benefits and utility of web3 technology on Solana. We’re excited that the Zeebit team will be able to realize their vision utilizing Sonic, building a truly transparent, fair, and fun gaming suite. They will be a leading example in the Sonic ecosystem utilizing customized Sonic gaming stack, while being composable with the rest of the Solana ecosystem,” said, SonicSVM CEO Chris Zhu.
The initial phase of the platform’s launch will be on the Sonic testnet, featuring a variety of games such as Dice, Coin Flip, Limbo, Plinko, Roulette, Mines, Crash, Baccarat, and Blackjack. This will be followed by a full-scale launch on the mainnet, accompanied by incentivized campaigns designed to engage and reward the platform’s users.
Participants in the new platform can look forward to earning Zeebit points and Sonic rings, which can be redeemed within the ecosystem, fostering a community-driven approach to gaming and rewards.
