Arbitrum’s ARBZERODEV code unlocks three months of ZeroDev Growth for free until Aug. 22

Arbitrum Announces 220M Gaming Catalyst Program In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Developers building on Arbitrum can pick up three months of ZeroDev’s Growth Plan at no cost using the code ARBZERODEV, with Aug. 22 as the cutoff.
  • Included in that tier: 100,000 credits, gas sponsorship and use of ZeroDev’s bundler infrastructure.
  • Because Offchain Labs has owned ZeroDev since August 2025, the promotion is an internal distribution play rather than a partnership with an outside vendor.

Teams building on Arbitrum are being handed three free months of ZeroDev’s Growth Plan via the promo code ARBZERODEV. The window shuts on Aug. 22.

Under normal pricing, Growth includes 100,000 credits, gas sponsorship worth up to $250, a community support channel and access to team support. To redeem it, developers open a ZeroDev account, subscribe to Growth in the Billing section and enter their card details, then apply the code. No charge hits the card.

Onboard the next billions users onchain with @zerodev_app's all in one programmable accounts platform.

Onboarding was the angle Arbitrum's developer account took when it pitched the bundle, running through embedded wallets, gasless transactions, smart accounts, permissions, automation and recovery.

Not an outside vendor

ZeroDev is no external add-on to the Arbitrum stack. Offchain Labs — the company behind Arbitrum, Prysm and Tandem — bought it on Aug. 13, 2025. No financial terms were disclosed, and ZeroDev’s five-person team joined in full as part of the transaction.

“The ZeroDev team brings a depth of expertise in developer infrastructure that’s rare to find, combining technical excellence with a deep understanding of the needs of web3 builders,” said Steven Goldfeder, CEO and co-founder of Offchain Labs, when the acquisition was announced.

At the time, the company cast the acquisition as a step beyond chain-level infrastructure toward a full-stack developer platform — and as its way into consumer applications.

What the credits buy

What ZeroDev describes as meta infrastructure sits at the center of the product: traffic is proxied to the underlying bundlers and paymasters, and rerouted to another bundler whenever one fails. UltraRelay, its in-house bundler, is optimized for sponsored transactions. A single RPC pulled from a project page serves as both the bundler and the paymaster endpoint.

Anyone claiming the promo should note one restriction. New self-funded paymasters can no longer be deployed below the Scale and Enterprise tiers. Paymasters already live continue to run, but spinning up new ones calls for Scale or above.

Scale comes with 1,000,000 credits, a smart routing address, $1,000 in gas sponsorship, priority onboarding and custom integrations, while Enterprise pricing requires contacting sales. At the bottom, the entry tier is capped at 50,000 credits and limited to testnet.

Billing works by having ZeroDev cover the gas first and bill the card once the cycle ends, although teams have the option of purchasing gas credits in advance. Paying gas in ERC-20 adds a 5% markup on the exchange rate.

Where it’s already deployed

Kernel accounts from ZeroDev meet the ERC-4337 standard. EIP-7702 is supported as well, allowing an EOA to adopt smart account functionality without giving up its address.

Infinex, DeFi.app, DIMO, Crossmint, Yellow and Rodeo all appear on its client roster, and it provides smart account infrastructure for ApeChain and Conduit. More than five million smart accounts sit under its management across EVM-compatible chains.

For proof, Arbitrum points to Peanut Protocol. Replacing seed phrases with FaceID logins compressed a seven-step flow into one-click payments.

Founded in 2022, ZeroDev contributed to ERC-4337 and debuted its platform at ETHDenver 2023.

“Our goal as a company has always been to bring more people on-chain, and smart accounts were only our first steps,” said Derek Chiang, CEO and founder of ZeroDev. “Now that we are a part of Offchain Labs, we can tackle UX at all layers of the stack, from UI all the way down to the chain itself. We could not be more excited about the opportunity.”
