MapleStory N stacks three events at once, headlined by an untried field-drop format

maplestory n stacks three events at once headlined by an untried field In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Three MapleStory N events are kicking off at the same time, fronted by “Chief Slime’s Request,” billed by Nexpace as a field-drop event unlike any it has run before.
  • Spiegelette’s Golden Giveaway is back in daily check-in form. During its 2025 outing, a check-in meant an hour of playtime and 1,000 monsters killed per day, with a missed day costing 100,000 NESO to recover.
  • The trio arrives three months on from MapleStory N’s first anniversary, when the game refunded as much as 100 million Power Crystals against the NESO players had burned through since the May 15, 2025 launch.

Starting the day after the announcement, MapleStory N is putting three events into rotation at once — and says one of them rests on a drop mechanic the game has never deployed.

“Chief Slime’s Request: A new kind of field-drop event begins in MapleStory N,” MapleStory Universe said in an Aug. 20 post. What separates the mechanic from the drop events already run since launch went unexplained.

Tomorrow it begins.

Next up, per that same post, is “Explorer of Slumbering Dragon Island: Survive the cold and hunger for rich rewards.” Rounding out the set is Spiegelette’s Golden Giveaway, described in the post as handing out “premium rewards like the Storm Growth” — the item name trails off there.

No run times, level gates or reward tables accompanied any of the three in the announcement, which instead directed readers to a fuller write-up.

How the check-in event ran previously

Spiegelette’s Golden Giveaway has history. Its earlier stint opened Sept. 18, 2025, once maintenance wrapped, and closed Dec. 17, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.

Entry came via the Spiegelette icon inside the Event Notifier along the screen’s left edge. A single check-in demanded an hour of playtime along with 1,000 monsters defeated close to the player’s own level. Rewards for each row landed automatically after every seventh check-in.

Only logins on a minted character counted toward attendance. Tracking of progress was per account; the 1,000-kill threshold was not.

Territory the game has covered before

Slumbering Dragon Island is no stranger to MapleStory N. “Heroes of Maple Act 1: Slumbering Dragon Island” served as mission 25 of the game’s Step Up event, locked behind level 142, and rewarded a single [SBT] Opening Party Shoes Coupon. Expiry on that coupon hit June 22, 2025.

What followed the anniversary

MapleStory N’s most recent burst of dense event activity spanned May 14 to June 10, 2026, timed around the game’s first year.

Anchoring it was the 1st Universary Power Crystal Payback Event, handing back 30% of a player’s NESO spending since launch up to a ceiling of 100 million Power Crystals. Qualifying required at least 1 million NESO spent across the window from May 15, 2025, to June 10, 2026, at 23:59 UTC. Claims bottomed out at 300,000 Payback Power Crystals, and the crystals ran out July 1 at 23:59 UTC.

The payback crystals lived in their own currency pool. Enhancement attempts that drew on even one of them were exempt from dynamic pricing, and anyone sitting on both varieties saw the payback crystals consumed first, without needing to choose.

Arriving with it was an MVP system paying out by tier. Purchases at the Universary Maplers Shop went through NESO or Binance Pay, and a Universary Special Power Crystal Package carried a 5 million NESO price tag.

Background

Henesys, a purpose-built Avalanche layer 1 assembled with AvaCloud, is the chain underpinning MapleStory N. A fusion and fission model governs item ownership: NXPC is redeemed for NFT collections, and those collections can be turned back into the token.

By Nexpace’s account, 80% of the NXPC supply is earmarked for developers, artists and other contributors, and the studio has floated more than a dozen mobile and web experiences to sit beside the PC client.

The launch came on May 15, 2025, announced from Abu Dhabi, with NXPC listing that same day across seven exchanges: Bitget, Bithumb, Binance, Bybit, Gate.io, KuCoin and Upbit.
