Meta Racing Logs All-Time High 65 Racers at Game Night, $500 Paid to Players

meta racing logs all time high 65 racers at game night 500 paid to players In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Meta Racing (official site) held its Game Night tournament on Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. UTC, offering a $350 prize pool shared by 10 winners.
  • According to the Solana racing card game, entries hit 65 racers — an all-time high — while $500 reached players across the week.
  • In-game rewards went to every valid entry, and the complete rules were published on the project’s Discord.

Sixty-five racers signed up for Meta Racing’s Sept. 3 Game Night, according to the project — its highest figure yet for a single event — with $500 paid out to players over the course of the week.

Kick-off was set for 4 p.m. UTC. When Meta Racing promoted the event, it advertised a $350 prize pool divided between 10 winners, adding that in-game rewards would go to every valid entry on top of those cash placements. The rules were distributed via the project’s Discord instead of its website.

BIGGEST WEEK IN META RACING HISTORY
> $500 paid out to players
> 65 racers in a game night, all-time high
> game night filled up and stayed full to the last minute
none of those numbers came from us
they came from people who showed up and raced

Nor did the lobby empty out as the night went on. “game night filled up and stayed full to the last minute,” the project said.

What the numbers cover

That $500 is a week-long tally, and it exceeds the $350 pool attached to the tournament itself. How the difference was handed out was never itemised by Meta Racing, which also skipped placement-by-placement results.

The 10 winners went unnamed as well. Turnout, not any single performance, was what the project put forward as the takeaway.

How the racing works

In Meta Racing, much of a race is settled before the green flag drops. A player builds a car, assigns a pilot and puts together a deck of ability cards, then burns energy to play those cards turn by turn while the race unfolds.

There are five card types: Boost, Attack, Defence, Control and Trick. Boost cards lift a car’s own stats, Attack cards saddle rivals with debuffs, Defence cards block or reflect those debuffs, and Control cards disrupt the race itself — freezing an opponent’s energy, among other effects.

Five rarities exist, each with three upgrade levels. Levelling a card up means recycling duplicates, though legendary cards show up pre-leveled.

Four stats govern each car — Acceleration, Handling, Power and Durability — and parts of differing rarity boost them. Level 35 is where progression caps out.

IGT and the pilot fee

Payouts come in IGT, the game’s internal currency, pegged at $0.10. Entering the competitive mode where token rewards exist requires ability cards, and the project’s own advice steers newcomers to the free Casual lobbies before they touch the reward tiers.

The second variable is pilots. A rented pilot takes 5% of a player’s rewards; owning the pilot NFT wipes out that cut and unlocks staking, a passive source of IGT.

The Pilots collection has been under development for months, and the project bills it as the game’s core — the gateway, in its telling, to bonuses, perks and long-term progression. Pilots holders can already farm airdrop points through a live mini-game.

Background

Magic Eden’s launchpad hosted the project’s ability card NFT pack mint, which ran alongside a Zealy quest campaign and guild onboarding. Hitting level 4 in that campaign earned participants whitelist access to the Pilot NFT mint plus a shot at one of 50 Solana Boxes in a draw, with the total prize pool valued at 3,000 USDT.

Per the roadmap, Q1 2026 brings game release, on-chain tournaments and seasonal leaderboards, together with a token generation event. Q2 2026 is earmarked for new game modes, more tournaments and a themed-season battle pass.

Its world is a dystopia where mega-corporations hold the resources and the technology. Tracks are randomly generated from segments carrying different conditions — the basis for the project’s claim that preparation counts for more than grinding.

The X account, opened in April 2023, has run at roughly 27,300 followers. Asked to account for the Game Night totals, the project was blunt about their origin. “none of those numbers came from us,” it said. “they came from people who showed up and raced.”
