What is SolForge Fusion?
SolForge Fusion is a collectible card battler designed by Richard Garfield, designer of Magic: The Gathering, alongside Justin Gary of Ascension, and released by Stone Blade Entertainment. Its signature feature is that cards advance during a match: play a card and it evolves into a stronger form, so a deck transforms as a game develops rather than remaining static. It exists in three forms simultaneously — a physical card game, a free digital version on Steam, and a Web3 layer on Solana for ownership and trading. Learn more at solforgefusion.com.
How to play SolForge Fusion
Decks are not assembled card by card in the traditional sense. Each half-deck is randomly generated from a pool of tens of thousands of possible cards and then merged with another, ensuring diversity and making skill something other than pure card selection. In a match, creatures and spells play across lanes, and every card played advances, meaning you plan future turns around what a card will become rather than what it is now. Physical decks can be scanned into a digital account, so a physical collection and a digital one are unified.
SolForge Fusion tokenomics & earning
The digital game is free on Steam and playable with no wallet, which is the easiest entry point. The Web3 side, backed at launch by Animoca Brands, the Solana Foundation and MatrixPort, exists so decks and cards can be genuinely owned and exchanged rather than merely licensed. Earning resembles a trading-card market rather than a play-to-earn faucet: value concentrates in rare cards that other players seek. As with any card game, a collection can grow in value and can just as easily decline.
