Champions Invitational details
On September 27, eight qualified players will face off in the Axie Classic Champions Invitational, which uses a double-elimination format. The field is made up of elite talent from Seasons 13-16, and the event is one of the community’s standout moments.
When and how to watch
The first matches are played off-stream from 6 PM PHT | 6 AM EDT. The broadcast then starts at 8 PM PHT | 8 AM EDT on both the YouTube and Twitch channels of Axie Infinity (official site). Fans can look forward to fierce matches all the way to the title decider.
Tournament format
The bracket is double-elimination. A player who loses in the Upper Bracket drops to the Lower Bracket instead of going out, and can still reach the Grand Finals from there. Before every match, each player submits 10 Axies and bans three of their opponent’s Axies. Every series before the Grand Finals is best-of-5. The Grand Finals are best-of-7, and the Upper Bracket winner starts with a 1-0 lead in the series.
Prize distribution
The prize pool totals 5,000 bAXS. First place gets 2,100 bAXS, second place gets 1,200 and third place gets 700. The lower finishers also receive rewards, so no competitor goes home empty-handed.
Players won their places through Arena play and the Season Championships. With this much at stake, skill and strategy will decide the event, and it should be a thrilling tournament for competitors and viewers alike.
