Comprehensive Update Rolls Out
“Kill The Feed,” a significant new update for the cyberpunk-themed shooter Off The Grid (OTG), is officially live. This latest version aims to significantly overhaul how players engage with the dynamic world of Teardrop Island, exceeding the scope of previous updates.
New Gameplay Mechanics Introduced
Key among the enhancements is the Dodge ability, a newly integrated movement feature that allows players enhanced agility. Players can now dodge left, right, or forward while grounded or airborne. This update includes three rechargeable charges, enabling faster-paced combat and smoother gameplay transitions.
Cyberlimb and Drone Innovations
In this update, OTG introduces the PainKilla, a drone disguised as a cyberlimb. This addition functions as a crucial support tool, capable of healing allies and reviving downed teammates within its operational zone, proving essential during intense team battles.
Narrative Expansion
For the first time, OTG brings narrative missions to the game with the “Kill The Feed” campaign, blending PvE elements into its largely PvP gameplay. This expansion aims to deepen the lore surrounding Teardrop Island and enhance player immersion within the game’s rich universe.
Enhanced Player Experience
Updates to the core player experience include improved jetpack functionality to eliminate stalling, refined weapon handling, and more intuitive combat interactions with better visual cues for player outlines and distant character visibility.
Adjustments to Battle Pass and Achievements
The battle pass has been redesigned into a linear progression model, ensuring rewards at every level up to 100, beyond which players can continue earning rewards indefinitely. This revamped system decouples the battle pass from the subscription service, allowing for a clearer and more comprehensible progression for players.
Anniversary Celebrations
OTG marks its first year in Early Access with special daily login rewards starting from October 7. These rewards include a unique Anniversary Set, diverse weapon skins, and a fresh DJ track, enhancing the celebratory mood for its community.
