What’s in the update
Season 2 preserves the existing auto-battle loop while layering fresh systems over it. Per the project, it will bring in Guilds, Crafting, Tournaments, PvP, server-wide zone bosses and a Powerball feature.
The team said all players will begin Season 2 on equal ground, though Season 1 progress won’t be wiped entirely. Those who continue grinding the current season can secure permanent buffs that carry over into Season 2. Void Abyss gear was shown off in a recent teaser.
How the game works
Debuting on Solana in June, AFK Heroes is a voxel idle RPG playable directly in a browser with no download required. Players link a Phantom or Solflare wallet, dispatch a hero onto the map and accumulate XP, gold, loot and $AFKHERO nonstop — even while the tab is closed.
Progression is structured around zones, spanning Frozen Spire at level 40 and Molten Foundry up to Singularity Vault at level 90 and beyond, with each carrying its own boss. Leading players collect seasonal leaderboard rewards handed out in $AFKHERO.
The token
$AFKHERO debuted on pump.fun and has since graduated. As of July 3, its market cap sat at $64K on a total supply of 1 billion tokens. The token had 4,158 holders and 944.84 million in circulation.
The project has leaned on player-count numbers to make the case that the token is undervalued. AFK Heroes said it sits second among the most-played Solana games behind PlayKintara, pointing to roughly 2,000 players versus PlayKintara’s 1.2 million.
The game emerged from the idle-RPG boom. Its team built the Solana version after an earlier title, Taskbar Hero, climbed to No. 2 on Steam’s concurrent-player charts.
