AFK Heroes unveils biggest reward pool to date
Season 4 of AFK Heroes is now underway, and its 100 million AFKHERO pool, valued at about $18,100, is the largest the game has ever offered. The idle RPG is using these large token incentives to get more players involved.
The pool is divided three ways. Gameplay gets 60 million AFKHERO, staking gets 20 million, and the remaining 20 million is set aside for prizes. Each player’s share of the main pool depends on the Power Levels of their heroes, so players with stronger heroes earn more.
Reward values climb each season
The value of the rewards has risen sharply with each season. Season 1 started with about $2,300 in rewards. That grew to $3,700 in Season 2 and then to $9,400 in Season 3. The new season is worth nearly twice as much as Season 3 and almost eight times as much as Season 1.
Season 3 went live on August 28, 2026, with three times the reward pool of Season 2. With rewards growing and gameplay heating up, the new season should be more competitive.
Staking vault highlights token economy
Staking is now a core part of the AFKHERO economy. The staking vault filled up in September after 250 million AFKHERO, or 25% of the total supply, was locked inside it. As the team put it, “One in every four tokens is now locked in the vault.”
AFKHERO has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens. Players earn it through seasonal rewards and in-game earnings. A referral program also rewards players based on how much the people in their network trade and spend.
Game details and recent updates
AFK Heroes is a free-to-play idle RPG on Solana with a voxel art style. It runs in the browser and on mobile, so there is nothing to download. Players build heroes from a range of classes, and those heroes keep fighting automatically while their owners are away.
The game launched in June and has since passed 10,000 wallet connections. Its player base has stayed strong, with a peak of about 2,400 concurrent users. Recent updates include the introduction of mining on October 13 and, on October 15, real-time 1v1 duels replacing turn-based PvP.
Earlier this month, the game also made its debut on the Solana dApp Store. Seeker phone owners get a one-time welcome pack there, which is designed specifically to limit bot farming. AFK Heroes is currently ranked #25 on PlayToEarn with a score of 1,014.
