A clean slate for AFK Heroes in Season 3
Season 3 of AFK Heroes is out, and with it came a reset that dropped the entire player base to level 1 and wiped the leaderboard clean. Live since August 28, 2026, the overhaul is intended to put the whole community on equal footing.
The reward pool has been tripled compared with Season 2, part of the developer’s push to build a season where returning and first-time players stand on the same ground. As the studio’s tagline puts it, “fresh start, fair shot, more to earn.”
Why wipe everything?
For an idle game such as AFK Heroes, a hard reset carries real risk. Veterans have poured time into their progress, and convincing them to stick around once it is gone is no small task. The flip side is that the wipe removes the wall that usually turns newcomers away, since catching up to entrenched accounts is close to impossible.
Leaving the map untouched reinforces the reset. Because zones such as Frozen Spire and Molten Foundry are gated behind player levels, everyone now cycles back through content they might have skipped the first time, which should make the moment-to-moment play feel livelier.
Looking back at Season 2
Kicking off on July 24, 2026, Season 2 built out much of the machinery Season 3 now runs on, adding guilds, crafting and player-versus-player combat. Joining a guild earned players up to 25 percent additional AFKHERO through guild memberships, alongside a reworked reward pool that weights payouts by hero Power Level. How that weighting actually works has still not been spelled out.
Season 2’s opening week saw over 10,000 wallets connect, with roughly 6,000 players active. Deposits reached 378.9 million AFKHERO against 126 million paid out, and the reward pool started at 113.6 million tokens.
What the game actually is
AFK Heroes runs as a browser-based idle RPG on Solana, with nothing to download. Link a wallet and your hero works through the zones on its own, hauling in loot and stacking the Power Level that now determines how big a slice of the reward pool you take home.
AFKHERO caps out at a total supply of 1 billion tokens, of which roughly 944.84 million circulate today. The token trades near 0.000065 USD, putting its market cap around 61,850 USD. Distribution remains lopsided: 72.11 percent of the supply sits in the top 10 wallets.
The idle format also flattens the curve between casual and hardcore. Logging in once a day is enough to keep pace with players who never step away, which pushes the real advantage toward hero strength and guild participation.
