Foonie Magus, the studio behind the Web3 strategy game Apeiron, has kicked off Season 7 with one of its most significant updates to date.
Running from July 7 to August 18, the new season brings a $30,000 USDC prize pool, a new Summoner class, enhanced AI opponents, and fresh ways to upgrade Planet NFTs through a new feature called Chronomerging.
Compete to Earn in PvP with USDC and Divine Keys
The game’s VIP PvP Battle Pass has been reworked to offer more chances to earn real rewards. By purchasing the pass for 1,250 APRS tokens (around $7.45), players can climb the PvP leaderboard for a share of the $30,000 USDC pool. The top 200 ranked players will earn prizes, with the highest reward being $100 and 20 Divine Keys.

Divine Keys are also now a central feature. They can be earned through in-game activities like ranking up in PvP, minting NFTs, or spending APRS and ANIMA in the ecosystem. These keys unlock randomized USDC rewards, ranging from $0.50 to as much as $100, depending on chance.
Summoner Class Brings New Combat Strategies
Season 7 introduces the Summoner, a new Apostle class that lets players deploy wild creatures like boars and explosive spiders. This class mixes offense with utility, giving players more flexibility in building their combat decks.
Players can earn the class through PvE gameplay or purchase it from the VIP Shop, with special access granted at higher VIP levels. Requirements to reach VIP tiers have also been reduced to make them more accessible.

Chronomerging Enhances Planet NFTs
Apeiron now allows players to upgrade their Planet NFTs through a feature called Chronomerging. By combining two NFTs, one is sacrificed to boost the stats of the other. The surviving planet inherits age, gains improved attributes, and may receive skills or perks if users spend ANIMA tokens. This gives existing players new utility for older or extra NFTs and deepens the strategic value of the game’s assets.
Improved PvP AI and Quality of Life Tweaks
Matchmaking in PvP has been optimized with better AI bots. Players above rank T7 will now face smarter AI opponents if no human players are available within 30 seconds. This helps reduce waiting times while keeping gameplay competitive.
Additional updates include adjusted pricing in the VIP Shop, changes to minting and breeding costs, and more flexibility for players across VIP levels. Divine Keys can also now be bought directly, further expanding how players engage with Apeiron’s ecosystem.
