In Brief:
- In a new X post introducing its voxel MMORPG, AresRPG said the game runs fully on-chain on Sui and can be played in a browser or by an AI agent.
- Gameplay covers tactical turn-based combat, dungeons and crafting, plus a player-driven economy based on trading between players.
- The post didn’t say how agent play works, and the feature isn’t described on the game’s website or in its public code repository.
According to AresRPG, its Sui MMORPG can now be played through an AI agent, with the browser still available as an option.
The studio’s X account opened with: “Welcome to AresRPG,” adding, “A voxel MMORPG with tactical turn-based combat and a player-driven economy.”

Four short lines in the post summed up the core loop: “Explore the world. Brave dungeons. Craft your gear. Trade with other players.” The team saved its headline claim for after that: “Fully on-chain on Sui. Play in your browser or with your AI agent.”
Little detail on agent play
Beyond a link to aresrpg.world, the post said nothing more about agent access. Supported agents, the actions they can perform and any limits on them all went unmentioned.
There’s no reference to AI agents or an agent integration in the project’s GitHub repository either. On Wednesday, the site was running build v2.7.6, with a four-step loading screen that checks resources, graphics, world and final checks.
What lives on chain
The AresRPG GitHub repository says each character, item, fight and trade in the game exists as a Sui object. It calls the browser client a “renderer of chain truth.”
Onboarding uses zkLogin, and players cover their own transactions. Combat is deterministic, with a twin of its logic written in Move. Items, mobs, spells and worlds are authored in a seed directory, then published on-chain.
Each piece of gear is minted with its own rolled stats. Players keep ownership of their characters and equipment.
Three.js powers the game’s 3D voxel engine. The frontend, engine, SDK, indexer, server, protocol and immutable rules all sit in a single repository.
The code is source-available, which differs from open source. Under the license, people can build locally, read the code, make personal modifications and contribute under a CLA. Redistribution, re-hosting and commercial use aren’t allowed, and the author retains commercial rights.
The KARES token
KARES is AresRPG’s token. The repository says its standalone presale is hosted on Blast. Staking happens on the game’s /kares page, and an in-game encyclopedia explains allocations, vesting and rewards.
None of the public materials list a presale price, a raise total or a listing date.
Mainnet status and recent builds
In a pinned post dated Sept. 10, the AresRPG X account said the game had officially launched on Sui mainnet. Mainnet pins are configured in the repository. Even so, the team’s GitHub organization page still links to a testnet at testnet.aresrpg.world, and the Move contracts repo shows only a testnet deployed address.
The team ships updates frequently. Version v2.6.21 arrived Oct. 22, and by late October the site was on the 2.7 branch. On its edge branch, the main repo shows 2,648 commits.
Build 2.6.4 brought mobile availability, according to the team. That update also added a free browser demo that needs no account, along with one-click bridging to Sui from EVM chains and Solana.
On Oct. 1, the team said more than 80 players had joined that day to try the game during a Nova Gaming Guild event.
Minecraft roots
AresRPG began life as a Minecraft server. Its old codebase is archived on GitHub, where it has 78 stars.
The Sui repository it uses now has 10 stars and one fork.
