Alongside this successful funding round, Argus has also unveiled a novel blockchain-gaming software developer kit (SDK) dubbed the World Engine. This innovative tool empowers developers to craft and manage their unique Web3 gaming ecosystems, showcasing Argus’ commitment to fostering creativity within the blockchain gaming space.
Argus: Building the Future of Web3 Gaming
Argus CEO, Scott Sunarto, shared his vision for the company with CoinDesk. He affirmed that Argus aims to provide robust blockchain infrastructure that supports burgeoning Web3 games while aiding developers in pushing the boundaries of their creative projects. Sunarto drew a parallel to the evolution of computer gaming in the 1980s and ’90s, suggesting a similar trajectory for crypto gaming now, where the ability to innovate and adapt independently is key.
Scott Sunarto’s quote: “Computer games in the 1980s and ‘90s were building their engine to build their own game … I think we’re at a very similar stage in crypto gaming right now, where if you really want to build great applications for great content, you really need to have this ability to push the envelope yourself.”
The latest funding influx is set to be utilized by Argus to expand its team and enhance its studio and tooling infrastructure. This investment will undoubtedly expedite Argus’ mission to enable more developers to create immersive and engaging Web3 games.
