B3, a Web3 gaming platform founded by former Coinbase employees, has acquired fast-growing gaming PC maker Andromeda Insights to launch a new kind of hardware for gamers who also live in the crypto world.
The upcoming product, expected in July 2025, will be the first high-performance gaming PC designed specifically for crypto users, complete with built-in security tools and a self-destruct data drive.
B3 Moves Into Hardware
This is B3’s first move into the hardware space, as the company expands from blockchain infrastructure to full-stack gaming. With the addition of Andromeda Insights, B3 is building toward a complete ecosystem that supports both software and hardware for on-chain games. The new partnership strengthens its mission to bring blockchain gaming to a much wider audience.
Why Andromeda Insights?
Andromeda Insights originally started in the crypto space but found massive growth by meeting the demand for premium gaming PCs. Since 2022, the company has focused on building high-performance systems and achieved more than 1,700% growth, reaching over $5 million in yearly revenue without any paid advertising. Their products have frequently sold out on platforms like Amazon and Newegg due to high demand.
Daryl Xu, CEO of NPC Labs and a core builder of B3, said the acquisition reflects both companies’ goal of making gaming more powerful and more accessible. Andromeda will continue operating under its current CEO, Matt Huffman, who emphasized their shared commitment to innovation in both performance and ownership within the gaming world.
A PC Built for Gamers and Crypto Users
The upcoming PC will combine premium components with features tailored for crypto users. This includes a built-in hard wallet, instant internet shutoff, and a dual-drive system where sensitive data can be erased instantly with a self-destruct function. These features are designed to give users more control over their digital lives, especially those active in Web3.
