Tournament Kickoff
The Beacon gears up to launch its first official speedrun tournament on September 29. The event, spread over two days, challenges participants to complete dungeon courses in the shortest possible time. With a handsome prize pool and rigorous competition, the event promises both thrill and rewards for the players.
How to Enter
Interested players are required to have a Ronin Waypoint account to participate. Entries begin on the launch day at 14:00 UTC and close at 19:00 UTC the next day. Participants need to submit their dungeon run evidence – either a screenshot or a video – on Twitter/X using the hashtag #RoninxThebeacon, along with a filled official form. Every participant will be awarded the Silver Valkyrie’s Call cosmetic item, and the top 32 will additionally receive the Crimson Valkyrie’s Call and token prizes.
Tournament Gameplay and Structure
After the initial qualifying rounds, the top 32 players will move forward to the playoff rounds, which commence on October 1. The playoffs will be conducted in a single-elimination format, with different stages spread across several days:
- Top 32 Bracket: October 1 at 14:00 UTC.
- Top 16 Bracket: October 2 at 14:00 UTC.
- Final Top 8: October 3 at 16:00 UTC.
All matches will unveil new dungeon layouts to keep the challenges fresh and demanding, with early rounds being a best-of-one and the final round a best-of-three setup.
Prize Distribution
The prizes are generous and vary based on the final standings:
- 1st place: 2,000 $RON.
- 2nd place: 1,500 $RON.
- 3rd–4th place: 900 $RON each.
- 5th–8th place: 475 $RON each.
- 9th–16th place: 150 $RON each.
- 17th–32nd place: 100 $RON each.
Network Exclusive
The tournament is exclusively available to users of the Ronin network, which has previously attracted over 200,000 daily active users during its first play-to-airdrop campaign. The Beacon continues to leverage the Ronin ecosystem to offer unique gameplay experiences combining elements of roguelite and MMO genres.
Looking Ahead
Before this tournament, The Beacon conducted a public playtest via the Epic Games Store, which was inclusive of various game enhancements and previews of new features. The game is set to launch its inaugural official season early in 2026, introducing new gameplay modes, biomes, and NFT-based enhancements.
Finals Anticipation
The qualification rounds conclude on September 30, leading into the main competitive stages starting October 1, and peaking with the top 8 finals on October 3. Competitors are urged to check in 5 minutes before their scheduled matches to avoid disqualification.
