Ragnarok Games has announced the launch of Season 2 for its free-to-play hero shooter, BloodLoop.

The new season introduces six weeks of competitive play-to-earn events, running from August 13 until mid-September, with $6,000 worth of $BLS tokens available as rewards.

Weekly Competitions and Rewards

Season 2 replaces the single leaderboard format of the first season with weekly tournaments. Each week carries a $1,000 prize pool, awarded to the top 10 players based on points earned.

This structure gives participants multiple chances to compete and win across the six-week period.

To take part in the weekly events, players must purchase a $5 Season Pass using $BLS tokens. The in-game wallet, created automatically for new users, allows deposits and withdrawals between BloodLoop and Avalanche’s C-Chain.

Once the pass is active, players can start collecting points across different phases of the competition.

How Players Earn Points

The weekly contests are divided into two stages. During weekdays, players gain points through crafting and refining. Crafting involves using Blueprints, Materials, and Crafting Tokens to produce NFTs, while refining turns Shards into Materials.

On weekends, points are earned by competing in the three PvP game modes: Energy War, Team Deathmatch, and Free for All.

Early Access and Future Plans

The game, supported by Avalanche and Beam, entered early access on June 23, 2025, and is available for free on the Epic Games Store. BloodLoop raised $4 million in seed funding last year and continues to grow its player base.

After Season 2, Ragnarok Games plans to introduce Patch 0.7.0 at the Tokyo Game Show, bringing the game back to its standard seasonal format.

BloodLoop combines strategic play and fast-paced combat. Players select heroes from four factions, each with unique abilities, and battle in different modes.

Energy War emphasizes tactical 5v5 gameplay focused on resource control, while Team Deathmatch rewards teamwork and kill counts. Free for All highlights individual skill in ten-player matches.
