In Brief:
- A new Sleepagotchi level, Robbery Road, is now live, sending players up against a hostile faction known as the Darklings.
- Three goals were laid out in the announcement: reclaim the stolen supplies, beat the robbers and bring back peace.
- The update arrives mid-pivot, as the company shifts from sleep-to-earn toward an AI wellness platform, sitting on 2.2 million all-time users and a token launch that still has no date.
Sleepagotchi has taken a fresh level live. Called Robbery Road, it centers on a hostile faction the studio refers to as the Darklings.
“The Darklings have taken control,” the company said in its announcement. “Travellers are losing supplies, the road has fallen silent, and no one feels safe anymore.”

The marching orders for players: “Recover what’s been stolen, defeat the robbers, and restore peace once again.” Closing out the post is the line “Good luck, Dino,” a nod to the companion character that levels up alongside players.
Absent from the announcement were any reward tables, drop rates or hero requirements tied to the level.

Robbery Road lands in the middle of a rebuild. Back in May, Sleepagotchi said it was leaving gamified sleep-to-earn behind and recasting itself as “The Intelligence Layer for the Wellness Economy” — an AI platform stitching together users, agents, wearables, wellness tools and marketplace partners.
Kenny Wood took the CEO seat to steer that chapter. Anton Kraminkin, the founding CEO, moved into a strategic advisor role handling long-term vision, partnerships and the gamification thesis that drove the company’s early growth; he previously held product leadership roles at Duolingo and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Wood came to the role after more than twenty years in games, with credits spanning Transformers, Formula 1, World Rally Championship, Bionicle and Matt Hoffman’s Pro BMX, along with leadership stints at VSTEP and Moonlander, where he served as CTO until Alpha 3D acquired the studio.
Landing with the pivot was an AI Sleep Coach MVP, the first in a chain of four agents. Still to come are a Wellness Agent handling mood, diet, caffeine and alcohol, a Meal Planner and a Shopping Agent.
The numbers
Across the flagship mobile app and its LITE companion, Sleepagotchi has crossed 2.2 million all-time users, with daily active users sitting at 78,688. The company pointed to the Sleep Coach launch as the driver, noting DAUs picked up speed again in June.
On iOS and Android combined, the main app added north of 300,000 new unique users across a trailing 12 months, with a single-month high approaching 180,000.
Engagement piles up at the two edges of the day. The company describes it as a “barbell” pattern: activity concentrated within the first 10 minutes of waking and the final 30 minutes before sleep, averaging 1.5 sessions daily. By its account, 78% of users open the app inside 10 minutes of waking, while third-party retention figures put 41% still active twelve months after sign-up — versus 10% to 20% for standard sleep apps.
By default, tracking leans on phone sensors, and the company says its in-house machine learning delivers wake-detection accuracy above 90%. Integrations with Whoop, Oura and Apple Watch are already live, though no wearable is mandatory.
Token still pending
vSLEEP, the in-game preview currency, comes from sleep streaks, referrals, leaderboard placement and Hunt Mode battles, and it determines airdrop allocation. The plan is for it to convert into $SLEEP on Solana at a TGE the company has yet to schedule.
A three-week app preview running July 29 to Aug. 19, 2025 let players accumulate vSLEEP, and the app then went dark while the team readied distribution. Every bit of it counts toward the airdrop.
Rather than emissions, the next stage of the business leans on recurring utility: AI agent credits, subscription benefits, staked user levels, gamified wellness access, partner campaigns and marketplace participation.
Background
Incubated by CoinList and Alliance DAO, Sleepagotchi pulled in $3.5 million in seed funding backed by Santiago R. Santos, Shima Capital, 1kx, Sfermion and 6th Man Ventures, among others. For the AI wellness plan, it has raised $6.5 million.
Sleepagotchi LITE (official site) — the Telegram mini app that asks for no sleep data — passed two million all-time users and landed among the platform’s top-five grossing titles in Q1 2025. Progression in the LITE economy weighs both hero level and star level from Constellation 10 onward, a balance tweak introduced after the team concluded that strategic depth had eroded once players could advance with five or six upgraded heroes.
“Users are generating the world’s most valuable biometric data daily, and yet they own none of it,” Wood said.
