Fans in Miami say they saw pink-and-blue supercars cruising down Ocean Drive in a line, with a camera car trailing them and a drone hovering above. They’re sure Rockstar is shooting a live-action trailer for GTA 6.

Rockstar has stayed silent. No one has confirmed the purpose of the shoot, so everything here comes from fan sightings and reported footage. The details match up closely enough, though, that the theory is hard to wave away.

The cars look like they drove out of Leonida

It was the cars that got people talking. Fans noticed a group of exotic sports cars that looked like GTA 6’s vehicles and wore the game’s pink-and-blue colors. A few had fictional Vice City or Leonida-themed branding, so they could have been pulled directly from Rockstar’s open world.

Most of the attention is on the cars. They look like the game’s invented car brands, Grotti and Progen among them, a reference that only longtime GTA players are likely to catch.

This doesn’t look like a few fans with a car club

The footage was reportedly filmed around Miami’s Bayside Marketplace, Ocean Drive and Key Biscayne. In it, the convoys seem to travel along a controlled section of road, with a camera vehicle tracking them and a drone visible in the sky.

A closed road, a chase car and aerial filming all suggest a production of real size. A production of real size still isn’t a confirmed trailer.

The timing fits the marketing push

Earlier last month, the Take-Two CEO said GTA 6 would need aggressive marketing. Rockstar has made big announcements nearly every week since.

Last week brought the GTA 6 launch trailer. Miami is already a prominent city for Vice City branding, so Rockstar could release a live-action trailer ahead of the game's official release. Footage of real Miami streets mixed with the game’s neon style and those pink-and-blue supercars would fit that plan well.

Nothing is official yet. Fans are waiting for Rockstar to reveal whether the Ocean Drive convoy turns into a full trailer or ends up as another elaborate marketing stunt.
