FLOKI’s Valhalla Hosts Premier Tournament

The Valhalla game, an integral part of the Floki ecosystem, is gearing up to launch its first major tournament. This blockchain-based MMORPG incorporates play-to-earn elements utilizing the FLOKI token and introduces a competitive platform with a lucrative prize of $155,000. The event is open to both new and experienced gamers, setting the stage for intense competition.

Entry Requirements and Tournament Structure

As per announcements made on the social platform X, the tournament begins with a qualifying round starting on September 30. Players are required to capture and use three different types of Veras creatures, which will be auto-leveled to the maximum level for PvP matches to ensure fair play. “Qualifiers for Valhalla’s first $155,000 tournament will start tomorrow, and you’re still early enough to join. All it takes to join the qualifiers is three different types of Veras, which you can capture right now at Valhalla.”

Each victory in the stage matches of the qualifiers earns the player points. Participants must achieve high scores, along with other criteria such as ELO scores and total battle damage, to advance to the main bracket, which accommodates 64 players. The elimination rounds are scheduled for October 4-5, and will consist of six rounds in a knockout fashion, demanding strict adherence to the set rules. Any violations, like collusion or exploitation of the game mechanics, will lead to disqualification.

Prize Allocation and Opportunities for Non-Qualifiers

The distribution of the tournament rewards is designed to benefit a broad spectrum of participants. The top prize is $50,000 for the champion, and $20,000 for the runner-up. Prizes decrease progressively with participants ranked between 33rd and 64th place, each earning $400.

For those unable to advance past the qualifiers, there remains a chance to win a share from a separate $5,000 bonus pool. “If you don’t make it [past] the qualifiers, there’s a $5,000 bonus pool waiting. That means the top 500 players who don’t qualify still earn $10 each.” To claim this, participants must interact with a specific tournament post on X and complete a registration process.

Looking Ahead

Valhalla not only offers a richly thematic Viking experience where players engage in strategic battles using creatures known as Veras but is also tying in blockchain technology, NFTs, and a token-based economy to enhance gameplay and player investment. Slated for a mainnet launch by June 30, 2025, this tournament represents a significant stride towards establishing Valhalla’s place in the competitive blockchain gaming market, aiming to reward skill and dedication among its burgeoning community.
