In Brief:
- Gala Games shipped an update to Mirandus (official site): Eternal Night adding guest play, a degradation and repair system, the Village of the Farmer land deed and a zone rebalance.
- Settlements are now tied to Threat levels through degradation: holdings that go unattended decay, though owners are able to repair them.
- The release keeps up a fast patch schedule that has already delivered a party system, a world boss event and Gala Wallet login since the game went live on April 30, 2026.
Writing in a post on its news site, the studio announced the Eternal Night update for Mirandus, which brings guest play, a degradation and repair system, a fresh Village of the Farmer land deed and a zone rebalance.
Those four additions land inside three months of the title’s April 30, 2026 launch, following a string of patches that has gradually broadened entry to what started life as an invite-only alpha.

Access keeps loosening
At the start, getting into Eternal Night meant using invite links at links.gala.com/mirandus-eternal-night plus the MetaMask extension for login. Sign-in via Gala Wallet arrived afterwards, as Gala consolidated its titles onto GalaChain. With the Cosmic Hunt boss event, the game shifted away from a closed alpha and toward something public.
Guest play pushes that same direction further.
Settlements can now rot
Land ownership is now tied to upkeep through degradation and repair. As Threat climbs, settlements nobody is tending will decay, and it falls to owners to repair them. Gala has bundled the system with Building Functionality, which unlocks trades offering full services within a settlement.
The mechanic was first mentioned in the roadmap Gala put out alongside the Town of the Prince, a Legendary deed aimed at players building a stronghold. Light from that deed reaches across a three-hex radius, cutting a permanent safe zone out of the fog of war while holding back enemy spawns. Anyone resting within gets +3 HP and +3 Energy regeneration every five seconds, and the deed comes with 20 building, shop and housing slots on a 700-HP stronghold.
A cheaper way to put down roots
Well beneath that tier sits the Village of the Farmer. As the smallest of Mirandus’s villages, it’s an Epic-rarity deed with 20 in existence, and its price in the original deed sale was listed at $550,000.
Agriculture defines its layout. Four 10×10 building plots, 12 5×5 plots, 66 5×5 farming plots and eight 5×5 livestock plots come with the village — enough to take wheat from field to granary to mill to bakery to storehouse without ever stepping outside the settlement. Placement of shops is up to deedholders, as are rents and requirements.
Full details are still to come, according to Gala.
Rebalancing, again
Of the four items, zone rebalance comes with the fewest specifics. Balance passes are nothing new for Mirandus, which has already been through several. Back in a November 2025 development update, crafting requirements for armors, gloves and boots were rebalanced, every NPC loot drop was updated and NPCs received improved encounter logic. NPC health and damage values were tweaked in the Narrows Landing update, which also rebalanced weapon damage and armor defenses and included visual work on the Red Forest and Goblin Ruins.
What the game is
The flagship MMORPG this is not. Eternal Night is a persistent hex-based 2D isometric exploration RPG made to add extra utility to existing Mirandus NFTs, and it runs in a WebGL browser on desktop. No client download is required. Mobile support is absent as well.
Everyone starts as an Echo, the base character, spending Energy to cross a fog-of-war map, fight and pick up loot.
Patches have come quickly. The party system arrived in early July, allowing players to recruit and manage as many as 10 unique warriors per account and take a party of up to five out on expeditions, with Party Leaders picked in town handing exploration bonuses to the entire squad. An Independence Day event ran with that update through July 9, with a Starwarden NFT attached.
Next came the Cosmic Hunt. A world boss carrying a persistent global HP pool spawns on the map, and players whittle it down via turn-limited auto-battles. Of the 1,000 GUSDC prize pool, 70% goes to the player with the highest cumulative contribution and 30% to whoever lands the final strike.
What happens out on the map hasn’t changed. Reach a safety zone to heal. Should a character’s HP drop to zero, it dies and forfeits all non-NFT inventory.
