Game7, the web3 gaming network, recently introduced Factions as part of its ongoing Credits Campaign. This new feature aims to enhance the platform’s community aspect by allowing groups of players to compete for credit rewards on a designated leaderboard.
According to Game7 co-founder Jon Allen, the campaign is designed to bring core gaming communities together to compete and have fun within the Game7 Portal. Factions offer a new level of community engagement, adding a layer of social competition. At the end of the campaign, each faction can distribute rewards amongst its members to ensure every player is rewarded for their participation.
Furthermore, Factions also provide an element of pride and recognition, with each faction gaining visibility through a custom referral link, code, and logo featured on the leaderboard. Collaboration within the community is essential, as each faction requires at least 100 referrals to participate.
Despite the new feature’s excitement, concerns about bot activity in web3 games have been raised. In response, Allen mentioned that most quests on Game7 require active player engagement, serving as a defense mechanism against bots. The team will also monitor accounts for any suspicious behavior and address any issues promptly.
Looking ahead, Game7 views Factions as a precursor and experiment for a more robust product that will be central to their DAO structure in the future. Players interested in participating in the Credits Campaign can find more information on Game7’s website.
