GOAT Gaming has announced the release of Underground Pepe, the centerpiece of its Season 4 launch, bringing a Telegram-native idle game that blends mafia themes with the growing world of digital collectibles.
Why all the fuss?
The game revolves around Telegram’s Plush Pepes, a set of animated NFT-style stickers on the TON blockchain.
Underground Pepe lets players build their own underworld empire by tapping, upgrading, and earning Pepe Points. These points can be exchanged for Mystery Boxes, which contain rewards like Durov’s Cap NFTs valued at $2,000, USDT, GOAT Gaming’s CROWNS tokens, and physical prizes such as iPads.
The game transforms Plush Pepes from simple visual collectibles into in-game assets with real utility, allowing players to unlock features and signal their status within the game.
Massive Returns and Real Value
Plush Pepes originally launched at $30 and have since seen their floor price skyrocket to over $10,500. There are only 3,000 of these digital items, each operating on Telegram’s TIP-4 NFT standard. This massive increase in value has made them one of the most talked-about collectibles on Telegram and a central part of GOAT Gaming’s new release.
Adding to the player experience is GOAT Gaming’s AI agent, Amy, who assists users by delivering rewards and guiding progression. This feature enhances engagement while helping players get more from their gameplay sessions.
Lastly, according to GOAT Gaming CEO Simon Davis, the goal is to create games where digital ownership is built into the core experience. “These aren’t just flex items anymore,” he explained. “Telegram is the new home for viral gaming. Underground Pepe is built around community-driven progression, tradable assets, and rewards that value real participation.”
