The biggest leak of Made by Google 2026 may well be Google itself. Over on the Google Store homepage, a Pixel 11 preorder countdown expires at 10AM ET Wednesday — about eight hours ahead of the keynote it is meant to precede. By the time host Trevor Noah takes the stage, the prices, colors and specifications will almost certainly already be out in the open.
It’s the oddest wrinkle of this year’s launch, and worth pausing on before we talk about the hardware.
The scheduling is unusual too. The show starts Wednesday at 6PM ET / 3PM PT — an evening slot, rather than the late-morning or early-afternoon windows hardware makers typically favor. A live stream will run on YouTube.
Four phones, none of which look new
The expected lineup is four handsets: the Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google has already dangled shadowed silhouettes of the Pro and the foldable in its own event teasers.
Going by the leaked imagery, they’re close cousins of the Pixel 10 range. The camera bars now appear to run black edge to edge, and the colors look good. Beyond that, there isn’t much of an industrial-design narrative here.
The single fresh visual flourish is a rainbow glowy light set into the camera bar. Google has already put it on display on the Pixel 11 Pro without explaining its purpose or its name. Strings dug out of Google’s contacts app suggest it’s called “HiLight,” and that inside the app you’ll be able to assign different colors to signal which particular person is ringing you. Other apps will presumably be able to tap into it as well. A translation of a leaked Pixel 11 Pro Fold image hints that HiLight will light up during Gemini conversations too.
The 2nm race with Apple may be decided by weeks
Under the hood, a fresh Tensor G6 looks like a safe bet. Chatter points to TSMC’s 2nm process, which should bring gains in both performance and power efficiency.
Assuming that pans out, the Pixel 11 family would be the first phones on sale using 2nm — but only just. Apple’s silicon for its next Pro handsets, presumably arriving in September, is tipped to use the very same process.
Storage up, RAM down, prices up
Rumor has it the entry storage tier on both the base Pixel 11 and the base Pixel 11 Pro climbs to 256GB, doubling the 128GB floor that applied to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. Good.
Less encouraging: early Pixel 11 Pro listings peg the Pro at 12GB of RAM. The Pixel 10 Pro range carried 16GB, so that’s a reduction — precisely the sort of quiet subtraction that shows up in year-three performance instead of launch-week reviews.
Pricing is climbing across the board. A Google VP recently pinned the incoming pricing “adjustments” on the memory crisis.
The watch was outed by a Borderlands developer
We’ve known the Pixel Watch 5 exists for months, and the confirmation didn’t come from Google. Borderlands creator Randy Pitchford put up two images in May, saying a friend had come across the watch underwater while scuba diving.
Google has since offered a brief tease of the watch for an August 12th launch, so the official reveal isn’t far off.
The leaked renders cover black, polished silver, yellow gold and a brass-y finish, wrapped in a design that looks a lot like the Pixel Watch 4. Specifications obtained by MyMobiles cite 41 and 45mm screens with battery ratings of 30 and 40 hours — figures identical to the Pixel Watch 4. Storage, at least, jumps from 32GB to 64GB.
The watch’s real sell is software, and it’s pricier
Marketing material seen by MyMobiles builds the Pixel Watch 5 around Gemini Intelligence, which Google unveiled for Android phones earlier this year. One slide bills it as a “personal, proactive assistant” that volunteers useful information without being asked.
There’s also “Proactive Suggestions,” designed to help you reply to messages using “context-aware replies” pulled from the thread itself. The same documents tout Google’s “most accurate sleep tracking yet” — a line that has shipped alongside more or less every wearable of the past ten years, and one that merits the customary skepticism until somebody wears two of them for a week straight.
The pricing heads in the wrong direction. According to MyMobiles, the 41mm Wi-Fi version could open at $399, against the Pixel Watch 4’s $349.99, while the 45mm Wi-Fi model may begin at $429, up from $399.99. Call it about $50 extra for the same battery life and a familiar look.
The earbuds are just getting a new coat of paint
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 arrived back in 2024. Two years later, what Google seems ready to ship is a color, not a successor.
An apparent marketing shot leaked by Evan Blass depicts earbuds in an olive green that lines up with other Pixel 11 renders surfaced by Blass and others. Beyond the finish they read as Buds Pro 2, and they’ve reportedly already turned up on a Google Play rewards page carrying that same name.
The Buds Pro 3 will have to wait another year, apparently.
An AirTag competitor, with no specs attached
The one item that might qualify as genuinely new is Pixel Tag, a tracker built along AirTag lines. An image recently obtained by outside sources depicts an oval, as opposed to Apple’s round puck.
Presumably it plugs into Android’s Find Hub network. A machine translation of a listing that has since been pulled mentioned the “Find My Device” network — the name Google used for Find Hub before the rebrand. Neither full specifications nor pricing have leaked.
What won’t appear Wednesday
New Googlebook laptops have shown up in recent leaks, but Google stated at announcement that they arrive in the fall. The smart glasses and the Android XR glasses share that fall timeline.
A surprise is always possible from Google. Still, if you’re weighing up a calendar reminder, the countdown ticking away on Google’s own storefront is the appointment that matters: put it down for 10AM ET Wednesday, and the odds are you’ll know it all before the curtain goes up.
