Comprehensive Seasonal Update for MapleStory N
NEXPACE has announced a significant update for their popular game, MapleStory N, which will roll out on December 18. This update, known as the “V” update, is poised to revolutionize the gaming experience by introducing advanced features and improvements across various aspects of the game.
Enhancing Gameplay with Fifth Job Advancement
At the forefront of the new features is the Fifth Job Advancement, representing a new pinnacle in character progression. This advancement is complemented by the V Matrix system, which will allow players to finely tune their skills using Nodes, enabling more strategic gameplay and skill customization.
Expanding the Game World
With the update, players will gain access to new regions including Vanishing Journey, Chu Chu Island, and Lachelein. These areas will feature fresh challenges and are integrated with the Arcane Symbol and Arcane Umbra equipment systems to enhance player gear. Key new bosses introduced in these regions, such as Guardian Angel Slime and Lucid, are set to provide rigorous challenges that test player skills and strategies. Additionally, the Cygnus Knights class will receive a substantial upgrade to bolster its usability in end-game content.
Streamlining Player Experience
To expedite progression for new and existing players, the update reduces the required EXP up to level 200, facilitating quicker access to new content including the Fifth Job. Moreover, improvements such as new character presets, enhanced equipment management, and an optimized party recruitment system are expected to make group play more accessible and enjoyable.
Economic Adjustments and Web3 Integration
NEXPACE is set to adjust the in-game economic system by revising the NESO rewards for boss fights, aligning them more closely with player efforts. This in-game currency is crucial as it can be converted into on-chain assets, enhancing the game’s digital economy. Further developments include an AFK farming event that promises to alleviate the grinding aspect of gameplay, allowing for resource accumulation even when players are not actively engaged.
Winter Events for Enhanced Engagement
In conjunction with the major update, MapleStory N will host special events like Mega Burning and Vlessing Winter from December 18 to February 26. These events aim to accelerate player development and immerse both new and returning players in the expanded game universe.
Visionary Leadership and Expansion Efforts
Sunyoung Hwang, CEO of NEXPACE, emphasized the significance of the update, particularly the integration of the Fifth Job Advancement. “The December 18 update marks an important milestone as we bring the Fifth Job Advancement, which was a major turning point in the MapleStory IP, to MSN. The expansion of core content will deliver a meaningful shift in player experience, and this update represents a significant step in uniting MSN’s unique growth-focused gameplay with its evolving web3 narrative,” stated Hwang.
In addition to gameplay enhancements, the MapleStory N ecosystem is being strategically expanded through initiatives like a recent token burn, which removed over 3.8 million tokens from circulation, and the establishment of a $50 million Ecosystem Fund. This fund aims to attract new developers with a focus on AI, digital finance, and player-created content, supported by partnerships with major tech entities such as Chainlink Labs and Altos Ventures.
