Oasys, a blockchain optimized for gaming, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch an online Web3 gaming hackathon in Singapore. This collaboration includes prominent names from the Web3 domain, such as Ubisoft, ChainGuardians, Adventure Gold DAO, and AAG.
Named “GameWave Genesis”, the hackathon boasts a total prize pool of $42,000, seeks to further the cause of Web3 game development. The primary aim is to uplift game developers with education, sponsorship, and the requisite support to create more games on the Oasys platform.

The GameWave Genesis initiative is more than just a competition. It represents a pivotal move towards bringing Web3 gaming to the forefront. Scheduled from August 18th to September 13th, the GameWave Genesis hackathon is more than just a competition; it’s an avenue for pioneering projects. Developers can collaborate, display their prowess, and delve deep into Oasys and Web3 gaming principles during AMA sessions. Moreover, they will get opportunities to interact with global tech and gaming leaders.
Rewarding innovation, the top three products will earn $30,000 in USDT, divided as: First ($15,000), Second ($10,000), and Third ($5,000) place. Entrants will also gain $30,000 worth of AWS credits, special benefits from Ubisoft, and support to initiate projects on Oasys or its Verses. Several other prizes from Oasys’ sponsors are up for grabs across diverse categories.
