Second leaderboard of the year

That figure has come up before. Immutable and Olderfall previously ran a leaderboard from May 1 to May 31 with an identical 100,000 wAURE prize pool.

The game debuted on Immutable Play on March 16, the day Immutable announced the collaboration and linked quests and rewards to in-game activity. Olderfall additionally holds featured status in Gaming on Polygon, the Polygon-specific gaming hub housed inside Immutable Play.

What wAURE does

Anubika, the South American studio developing Olderfall, positions wAURE as the “Master’s Coin.” It covers tournament entries, crafting and further systems, and any in-game spending removes it from circulation.

Back in early June, the studio ran a community round for wAURE. Purchases were made in USDC on Polygon, and the tokens acquired there remain locked to the buying wallet with no transfers permitted — meaning participants had to use their Olderfall wallet. Anubika presented the round as tilted toward committed competitors rather than short-term flippers.

The round was not a public listing. A separate public launch event is on the roadmap to open wAURE to the broader market, with liquidity slated for that later stage.

The game and the season

Olderfall is a free-to-play auto battler playable on mobile and in the browser. Taking the role of a Gladiator Master, players recruit warriors known as Fallen, kit them out with gear and dispatch them to arena battles set in a dystopian world.

Season 6, “A Matter of Instinct,” began July 31. Topping the Battle Pass is the Blackfang Recurve, alongside Gems and Void Relics. Both the Free and Premium tracks stay active until Sept. 29 — wrapping up a day ahead of the Hunt.

“Auric Dominion,” Season 5, spanned June 1 to the end of July and revolved around corruption creeping through the arena; its exclusive weapon was the Sanguine Dominion, with Vermithar and Pearlwhisper serving as Featured Foundry Weapons. Season 4, “Reforge & Conquer,” went live April 1 and was the season that brought Olderfall onto Immutable Play, introducing faction-exclusive weapons, broader Forge mechanics, guild leaderboards and burn-and-merge gear systems.

Inside the Polygon hub

Gaming on Polygon acts as the entry point for Polygon PoS and Agglayer CDK games on Immutable Play. It represented Immutable’s first enterprise agreement on its gaming platform, arriving with five games at launch plus player incentives and a network upgrade linking Immutable zkEVM to Polygon’s Agglayer.

Immutable backed the hub with a $100,000 reward pool that pays out for quests, in-game milestones and high leaderboard placements. Finishing every quest within one game yields 500 Gems, while completing all questlines across the full set of five yields 2,500.

Launching the titles as a batch signaled a shift in Immutable’s onboarding approach. Over seven years the company had brought games aboard one by one, integrating upwards of 680 titles along the way.

Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron said the Agglayer connection hands the games “unified liquidity, smoother interoperability, and a single front door” for players.

“This is the moment where Gaming on Polygon accelerates,” said Robbie Ferguson, co-founder and president of Immutable.
