Pudgy Penguins has announced the upcoming launch of its new game, Pengu Clash, which will be available on Telegram starting June 18. Alongside this, the brand revealed a fresh partnership with NASCAR, expanding its reach beyond web3 and into mainstream sports entertainment.

A Game Built for Telegram and the TON Blockchain

Pengu Clash is a fast-paced multiplayer mini-game built directly into Telegram using the TON blockchain. Created in partnership with Elympics, it focuses on skill-based gameplay rather than speculative play-to-earn mechanics. Game modes include Darts, Football, and Bomber, offering short duels that are easy to play and competitive by design.

Players can jump into the game instantly without needing a wallet, but those who connect a TON wallet gain access to NFT cosmetics and token prize pools. This optional blockchain layer allows for added functionality without creating entry barriers.

Early Access Success and Community Growth

Before its full launch, Pengu Clash ran a soft launch campaign, allowing players to sign up as “lil’ waddlers.” This brought in over 2 million registrations by mid-June. The game’s frictionless onboarding and integration within Telegram’s social interface helped it gain fast traction among casual and web3-native players alike.

Elympics co-founder Tom Kopera highlighted that the goal was to create a simple yet competitive experience, driven by gameplay instead of financial speculation.

On June 12, Pudgy Penguins confirmed its official collaboration with NASCAR. While specific activation details are still under wraps, promotional content featuring Pengu and the Pengu Clash logo has already appeared in NASCAR’s media. The partnership is expected to include global fan-facing content, potentially blending the game with racing-themed campaigns or events.

A teaser video showed Pengu getting ready for a race, hinting that further integrations or themed events may be on the horizon.
