Ragnarok Online Landverse America’s Oct. 22 update brings Card Ascension and a Geffen MVP clone event

In Brief:

• Ragnarok Online Landverse America gets a gameplay update from Maxion on Oct. 22. It adds Card Ascension, which turns cards into Card Fragments, and a two-week event that packs a Geffen map with level 125 MVP clones.
• Expansion VI Landstones arrive through NOVA Instance Landstone 6. NOVA Instance Treasure 5 adds two SSR items, Champion Mask and Bravery Bag [1], and players can mint both as NFTs.
• The Rachel Sanctuary donation event is over. Players now face a new server-wide goal of 100,000,000 Zeny before the area opens.

On Oct. 22, Maxion pushed a gameplay update to Ragnarok Online Landverse America. The patch brings a card recycling system, a limited-time MVP event in Geffen and a sixth tier for the NOVA Landstone instance.

Two SSR items also join the NOVA Treasure 5 reward pool. The update closes out the reward phase of the Rachel Sanctuary donation drive and gives the community a new target.

Card Ascension

The Card Master in Izlude (82, 215) breaks cards down into Card Fragments. Players can spend those fragments on upgrades, random card fusion or items from a dedicated shop. According to the patch notes, 12 cards can be disassembled, nine X Card upgrades are available and fusion comes in four tiers.

A Leaf Cat Card returns 10 fragments, at the low end. Mobster and Zealotus cards sit at the top with 150 each, while Errende Ebecee and Egnigem Cenia cards give 80 apiece.

To make an X Card, players need the matching base card and 1,000 Card Fragments. The Hydra X Card boosts damage against Demi-Human monsters by 25%. With the Abysmal Knight X Card, damage against Boss-class monsters goes up 30%. The Horn X Card reduces ranged damage taken by 40%, though magic attacks are excluded.

X Cards have a weight of 1. Players can’t drop, trade or mail them, put them in a cart or place them in guild storage. Selling them to NPCs and keeping them in personal storage is allowed.

Fragment Fusion gives a random card from Tiers 1 through 4 for 80, 120, 160 or 320 fragments. Rolling Tier 5 takes two each of Mysterious Fragments I through V, and the result comes from a list of 38 MVP cards, Baphomet, Memory of Thanatos and Atroce among them.

Those Mysterious Fragments are sold at the Card Fragment Shop in Izlude (58, 215) for 10,000 to 30,000 Card Fragments each. The shop also carries Kafra Buff, Adamantine Blessing boxes and Arcane Slipstone, priced at 400 Silvervine. Weekly purchase limits reset at midnight every Sunday.

For card removal, players visit the Card Engineer at Izlude (58, 211). There are three removal levels, priced at 400,000, 800,000 and 1,700,000 Zeny plus 10 Card Fragments each, with success rates of 5%, 10% and 20%. If an attempt fails, both the card and the gear survive. MVP cards can be removed with one Arcane Slipstone at a guaranteed rate, and the item’s refine level stays intact.

Eclipse of Landverse: Geffen

The Geffen event opens at 8 a.m. Oct. 22 once maintenance finishes and closes at 7 a.m. Nov. 5 ahead of maintenance. Players reach gef_dun01 through Heroic King at Geffen 111, 104.

Each listed MVP spawns three times on the map, and the copies respawn 15 seconds after being killed. They keep their original skills and stats but are set to level 125, with ATK, MATK and max HP all raised by 15%. Baphomet, Osiris, Pharaoh, Valkyrie Randgris and Beelzebub are on the roster.

All MVPs drop one to three Adamantine and carry a 9% chance to drop Eclipse of Arcane. Players can trade 10 Eclipse of Arcane per exchange with Sephiroth at Geffen 106, 96. An exchange gives a 97% chance of any OCA card and a 3% chance of a Primary Landstone Box Expansion V.

Players don’t need VIP. Accounts get two hours a day, and more hours can be bought at 2 Silvervine each with no limit. Auto-Battle isn’t allowed, and Asura Strike damage tops out at 500,000.

Killing MVPs costs no Stamina, and dying doesn’t cost EXP. Each MVP gives 1 base EXP and 0 job EXP. Blocked skills include Teleport, Ice Wall and Warp Portal, and Fly Wing and Giant Fly Wing can’t be used. A daily quest rewards 200 Adamantine Blessing for 30 MVP kills.

NOVA instances

In Landstone 6, the Primary Landstone Box (Expansion VI) joins the instance reward table at a 5% rate. Players can also buy it in the Land Stone Shop for five Land Dynite. Opening the box gives one of 36 Landstone I pieces.

Strong, Universal and Potentia Landstone boxes are new and cost 100, 125 and 100 Land Dynite. All three lines can be upgraded from Landstone I to II. Each upgrade needs 10 Land Dynite and 200 Land Crystal, along with extra ore, for example 50 Land Whidium Ore for Universal pieces.

Nothing else about the instance has changed. It’s still solo and limited to VIP players at level 30 or higher, with a 60-minute time limit that includes a five-minute mining phase.

Treasure 5 Item Update 2 is live from 8 a.m. Oct. 22 until 7 a.m. Nov. 5 (GMT-3). In the standard pool, Champion Mask and Bravery Bag [1] each have a 0.080% rate. Two rate-up modes increase the featured item to 0.175%.

Champion Mask is mid headgear for level 100 Champions. It gives ATK +20 and STR +3, with Finger Offensive bonuses at +5, +7 and +9 refine. Bravery Bag [1] is a garment any class can wear, and it enables Teleport Lv. 1. The two items don’t work in WoE or PvP and can’t be traded, though players can mint either one as an NFT.

Rachel Sanctuary

Show Your Support For Rachel Sanctuary has wrapped up. Donations made now don’t earn event rewards, and the claim window is closed.

Maxion’s new target is 100,000,000 Zeny, and Rachel Sanctuary unlocks when donations hit that total. Previous donations still count, and no rewards are paid at this stage. The donation NPC stands near the church entrance. Any amount that isn’t a multiple of 50,000 Zeny gets rounded down.

Fixes

Maxion runs the game under a license from Gravity Co., Ltd. It launched in Latin America and North America in December 2025.

Four fixes appear in the Oct. 22 notes. The Gear Score Ranking buff UI now raises MATK, and Mini Mana Potion effects work as intended. Slotting a Critical Hit Shadow Weapon now triggers a combo effect with Critical Shadow, and the Shadow Malicious Set description is clearer. Effect Stones also apply their options to Slot 3 as described.
