Shrapnel launches NFT marketplace featuring 10 weapon skins

Shrapnel's NFT marketplace goes live with 10 weapon skins

Shrapnel, the PC extraction shooter based on Avalanche, has launched its marketplace along with the second early access playtest – STX2.

The upcoming STX2 will introduce a marketplace that will offer 10 cosmetically enhanced weapons. These weapons will range in price between 10 to 50 SHRAP tokens. It is important to note that these weapons will not provide any gameplay advantage to its users.

Moreover, a brand new weapon type, the submachine gun, will also be introduced in STX2. This weapon type will offer players the ability to fire quietly and maneuver quickly. Additionally, the newly-introduced suppressor muzzle attachment can be used with the submachine gun as well as the existing weapon types such as the assault rifle, pistol, and shotgun.

The upcoming features for Shrapnel NFT skins will offer user-generated content and collaborations from different communities like NeoTokyo, Superverse, BoDoggos, Alchemy, and Avalanche. These features will be airdropped to the corresponding NFT holders.

CEO Mark Long conveyed his excitement about the launch of the marketplace and premium cosmetics. He mentioned that it is a significant milestone in creating a unique Shrapnel economy that rewards both creators and players.

The feedback from Epic Games Store players on early versions of Shrapnel has been positive. The community is eagerly waiting for the new gameplay features that are set to be launched at GDC this week.
