Sky Mavis, the creators of Axie Infinity, have announced the launch of Atia’s Legacy, a new massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set within the Axie ecosystem.
Featuring immersive 3D gameplay and blockchain-based mechanics, the game represents the next step in the company’s vision for Web3 gaming.
A New Chapter in Blockchain Gaming
Atia’s Legacy builds on the foundation of Axie Infinity but introduces a more expansive and interactive gaming experience. The game trailer, released on March 6, showcases advanced 3D battles, engaging mini-games, and an open-world environment with new mechanics.
Trung Nguyen, co-founder and CEO of Sky Mavis, highlighted the game as a major milestone for blockchain gaming, emphasizing its potential to empower players through digital asset ownership. The company aims to create an engaging Web3 experience where users have full control over their in-game assets.
Reward System and Player Incentives
A key feature of Atia’s Legacy is its Web3 referral rewards program. Players can earn Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) by referring new users to the game, encouraging community growth through direct participation. The more players referred, the greater the rewards, creating an organic expansion model within the ecosystem.
Alongside financial incentives, Atia’s Legacy will introduce squad-based battles, crafting systems, and a social hub for player interaction. Sky Mavis has also confirmed that play-tests will be available in 2025, giving early adopters a chance to experience the game before its full release.
