In Brief:
- Spekter Agency (official site): Survivor has entered Open Beta on Android, opening the door for community testing ahead of release.
- Android and iOS players progress on separate tracks, and Android accounts will be reset when the game fully launches.
- Survivor stands completely apart from the earlier Telegram-based versions, with the focus placed on a new mobile gaming experience.
Spekter Agency: Survivor enters Open Beta
The Open Beta for Spekter Agency: Survivor is now live on Android, giving players a chance to put the game through its paces before it officially arrives. Built as a standalone mobile title, it promises a fresh take through reworked progression, added content, and a design made specifically for mobile.
During the beta, the studio wants players actively involved: pushing their runs further, flagging bugs, and passing along feedback through Discord. Those who take part will earn unique rewards, among them coupons for in-game items plus an exclusive profile frame handed out at the official launch.
Details of the beta phase
Spanning several weeks, the Open Beta hands the community early access before the full version ships. Once the formal launch arrives, Android players will see their progression reset — a standard step taken to keep things stable. In-app purchases stay switched off for the duration.
Things work differently on iOS, where no Open Beta phase is planned at all. That version goes straight to a full launch instead, and because it comes after the Android testing window, no progress reset is scheduled.
Distinction from Telegram version
Survivor should not be mistaken for a port or an extension of the Telegram game. Web3 features have been dropped altogether, and every mechanic from before — Sparks and Spek Vaults among them — stays exclusive to Telegram. The studio frames Survivor as a separate game set in the same universe, carrying its own feature set.
Nothing about progression here ties back to Telegram assets. A new Survivor account is required, and since no earlier assets or progress transfer over, everyone begins from scratch.
New features in Survivor
Progression design has been rethought for this release. Rather than following the fixed paths of the earlier game, players now choose and upgrade skills themselves, shaping a custom skill tree around how they like to play.
Several new systems layer onto the gameplay: a Star Map handling character development, a Pet System granting stat boosts, and a Carnival feature that unlocks special missions once certain game stages are cleared. There is also an Achievements system delivering permanent progress, alongside Account Linking that carries progress between devices. A portion of these features is slated to arrive after launch.
Game Overview
At its core, Survivor is a rogue-lite in which players hold off waves of enemies while building up their character run by run. A roster of different agents, each carrying unique abilities and powers, keeps the gameplay varied. It sits within the survivor genre popularized by Vampire Survivors, though here players get more say over which build they assemble.
Throughout the beta phase, the game can be downloaded for free on the Google Play Store.
About Spekter Games
Behind Survivor is Spekter Games, a studio founded by entrepreneur Taehoon Kim. Its focus lies in reshaping proven free-to-play mobile games for chat-based super apps, pairing a passive web3 incentive layer with an otherwise traditional gaming experience.
June 2025 saw the original Spekter Agency debut on Telegram, backed by a $5 million pre-seed round. By keeping conventional gameplay separate from its web3 economy, the studio signals a deliberate move toward courting mainstream mobile gamers. Now that the Open Beta is live on Android, Spekter is calling on players to help shape the game’s development before the full launch.
