Thailand is indeed one of the most visited countries in the world and a favorite tourist destination in Asia. On November 14, the Tourism Authority of Thailand launched a new tourist experience called the “Amazing Thailand NFTs” to bring and increase tourism using NFTs.
According to the press release, this experience will offer tourists Digital Art NFTs via the YAKS application at five landmarks throughout Thailand until December 14.
Thailand is investing heavily in tourism; one example is the decriminalization of cannabis, which occurred earlier this year. This move indicates Thailand’s plan to bring many tourists to the spot like Holland has done all these years.
Speaking about the saucy part, the “Amazing Thailand NFTs” experience will see many tourists scanning the QR code found in five landmarks across the country, ultimately receiving one random Thailand NFT each time. China Town, Wat Arun, Giant Swing, and Siam Square are all in Bangkok and the Ancient City in Samut Prakan.
Additionally, after collecting three NFT items from three different locations, tourists will unlock special privileges for airfare discounts, food and beverage discounts, hotel discounts, and many travel discounts.
The first QR code can be scanned upon arrival at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
