Gala Games has announced that the long-awaited playtest for The Walking Dead: Empires will take place from August 30, 2022, 12:00 PT to September 01, 2022, 12:00 PT.
Developed by Ember Entertainment, The Walking Dead: Empires is a zombie survival MMORPG set in the post-apocalyptic world of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The players can build, scavenge, and battle their way to the top. Their main concern is to survive the Zombieland and rebuild society from scratch. You can gather supplies, team up with others, and construct shelter for yourself.
Team building and strategic planning will be the key point to survival as you’ll have to face the walkers who are ready to eat your flesh – beware them at all times.
To grow in the land of the dead, you’ll have to craft different essentials (in-game items). You can own an NFT Crafting Station where you can easily create particular in-game items in The Walking Dead: Empires universe. You can place the crafting station on the land you own.
The game features land NFTs. You can buy land, build on it, and make a safer place for yourself as well as your allies. Additionally, you can give shelter to others and earn money as they live, build, and kill on your property.
Just like in AMC’s The Walking Dead, the universe of the undead is full of good and bad people. Some want to survive, while others aspire to rule. Whether you want to be the Negan or Rick Grimes is your choice.
The game is currently in development and will be available to play on PC. Gala Games announced three new games at the IntoTheGalaVerse conference last year in December.
