In Brief:
- Wilder World (official site) has relocated complete inventory and stash management to the Apartment, the player space where Wilders spawn inside Wiami’s Trenches district.
- The update arrives on the back of a July build that brought Backpack, Loadout and Stash back into sync following quantity desyncs, delayed updates and stack errors.
- It contributes to the Compound, a single connected space combining the garage, apartment and Gun & Gear Room and wired straight into inventory.
Inventory and stash management can now be handled in full from within the Apartment, the studio announced in a post on X.
Located in the Trenches, the Apartment is the spawn point for Wilders in the open world loop, where they check a mission brief, gear up with weapons and make for a vehicle marked on the minimap. The weightier inventory tasks used to take place somewhere else entirely. That role first belonged to City Storage in Agora Alley, the original inventory location holding a player’s master inventory and offering a permanent spot to sort a loadout, draw from a full stash and deposit items instead of dragging them through high-threat zones.
Full inventory and stash management is now available directly from the Apartment.

Cleaning up the plumbing first
Months of repair work on the underlying systems preceded the shift. Released on July 19, one build reconstructed backpack displays from the authoritative stored inventory, preventing stale records from overwriting equipped loadouts, and left Backpack, Loadout and Stash consistently synced.
Quantity desyncs, delayed updates, stack overflow and incorrect source-stack reductions were all addressed in that patch. Per-slot limits became something stack handling respected. Quantities are now verified on pickups before a move goes through.
The same build tightened attachment logic. Feedback accompanies the rejection of invalid combinations, secondary weapons are limited to Optic and Barrel slots, rarity colors refresh once a swap happens, and ghost states no longer linger behind dragged items. Health canister counts began feeding into the combat HUD directly from the inventory database.
Shipping alongside were stat modifiers and persistent degradation. Movement, protection and loadout performance shift with every equipped piece, while armor deteriorates as it takes impacts. Tooltips across Loadout and Gear surface an item’s complete set of stat modifiers on hover.
The Compound
The Compound, of which the Apartment forms one part, has been described by Wilder World as a unified starting point in the Trenches joining the garage, apartment and Gun & Gear Room. After driving in and riding the elevator up, players put the cars, weapons, gear, Kicks, clothing, statues and artwork they own on display.
Inventory is directly connected to all of it. Growth of a compound unlocks additional vehicle bays, weapon slots, display cases and equipped mannequins.
According to the studio, it represents the first step toward player compounds tied to buildings, real estate and ownership throughout Wiami.
What the wallet decides
Holdings continue to govern what turns up in inventory. Visibility and use of avatar items in game require them to be held in connected ZERO wallets, and a sale strips the item from inventory and saved configurations alike.
Custom Avatars arrived in the Super Early Access build this month, swapping preset Trinity suits for slot-by-slot gear drawn from Wilder Packs.
Season Zero and the loop behind it
Announced via the studio’s ZINE on June 26, Season Zero: The Invasion launched in late June and delivered Wiami’s first structured gameplay. The job for players is to fend off invading forces, extract MILD and gather Shards at the EZK Neural Station.
Season gear trading remained off chain through Satin Passage, the in-game market of Wiami, with onchain integration slated for the close of Season Zero. The ZERO wallet handles trades without gas fees, and the marketplace holds listed items until they sell or the listing is cancelled. Wilder Packs and their contents opened the market, spanning Weapons, Wheels mods and Avatar gear, with further collections on the way.
In an Aug. 22 post on X, co-founder Frank Wilder said the studio’s top priority is now refining that loop and taking it fully onchain.
“Season Zero gave us the foundation and a clear loop: enter Wiami, fight, risk and extract,” Wilder said.
Five core milestones and five expansions make up the Rebirth roadmap: creation, scarcity, identity, commerce and reach. At the center are Shards, the core resource class of Wiami — onchain assets that trade on the marketplace, materialize into gear and get fought over by everyone in the city.
“The Rebirth roadmap remains the source of truth,” Wilder said.
