Wilder World Opens a Player-Owned Trenches Hub as Gear Now Wears Down and Needs Repairs

wilder world opens a player owned trenches hub as gear now wears down and needs repairs In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Wilder World (official site) has launched a player-owned Personal Space inside the Trenches district, merging the garage, the apartment and the Gun & Gear Room into a single connected hub.
  • Stat modifiers and persistent degradation on gear are now switched on, with repairs handled at the Armory for a price that scales with damage amount, gear type and rarity.
  • Because the space reads from connected ZERO wallets, selling an item removes it from a player’s inventory and from any saved presets.

An entire player inventory now lives in a single room in Wilder World. Live in the Trenches district, the new Personal Space brings the garage, the apartment and the Gun & Gear Room together into one connected hub.

Access starts at street level, where players drive in before taking an elevator up. Once inside, they can put the cars, weapons, gear, Kicks, clothing, statues and artwork they own on display.

Gear that wears out

Stat modifiers and persistent degradation arrived with the same update. Anything a player equips now influences movement, protection and how a loadout performs.

Shield capacity and mobility are governed by armor, while attachments shift weapon stats, and the bonuses they grant depend on the item’s type and rarity.

Armor also degrades with each impact it soaks up. Inventory, attachments, backpacks and the HUD all received tuning alongside the change.

Repairs at the Armory

The Armory now handles gear repair. Repairing an item returns its stats to maximum and clears the battle damage visuals from it.

There’s a price attached. Three inputs determine the cost: the amount of damage the item has sustained, the category of gear it belongs to, and its rarity.

The garage reads the wallet

Wallet connection arrived with Garage Version 2, which fed owned Wheels into the Garage Selector and made them drivable in the open world. Version 3 broadens that system through Packs, introducing vehicle upgrades and tuning.

The reworked Garage draws straight from connected ZERO wallets and surfaces every Wheel in a player’s possession. Pack assets drive the customization: performance upgrade parts that affect handling, speed and control, alongside cosmetics such as rims, paint mods and swappable patterns. Players can store their configurations as presets.

The wallet is where ownership is enforced. Items only appear in game while they sit in a connected wallet, and selling one removes it from the inventory as well as from every saved preset that included it.

What Season One packs hold

Six rarity tiers run through Season One Packs, stretching from Common up to WILD. Inside are weapons and attachments, Trinity MKI and MKII suit components covering 11 gear slots, and vehicle modifications divided among five upgrade categories.

They also reshaped avatar customization. Preset Trinity suits have been removed, and each player now begins with a base undersuit before configuring and saving their own combinations of Pack assets.

Weapon loadouts took the same route. Preset loadouts arrived first, offering quick selection from preconfigured sets, and were followed by the Weapon Customizer, which uses Pack attachments such as scopes, silencers and barrels.

Background

Unreal Engine 5 and Ethereum power Wilder World, with ownership managed by ZERO. Three phases were laid out for its Super Early Access rollout: Rebellion, which covers shooter combat, gear-based progression and arena competition; Wilder Wheels, which covers the parts economy, upgraded vehicles and racing physics; and a third phase starting in 2026 that opens Wiami as a free-roam world featuring building and mining.

February’s Release 0.11.1 brought ownership onchain and enabled pack opening. Ahead of it, the Open World Preview allowed players to browse the complete in-engine vehicle lineup while limiting driving to a fixed set of six.

In-game Pack opening, wider trait and rarity variations, additional purchase options and marketplace functionality are all slated for future updates.

Scarcity for Season One items is permanent. They will never be reissued.
