In a post unveiling the game, Ronin said it had opened pre-registration for Yakkamon and set aside 3,000 access codes for users on its network.

Behind Yakkamon is Thought Farm, the Sydney studio that built Sunflower Land and continues to operate it. Throughout development the project went by the codename Project II.
Signing up for Season 0 costs nothing and requires only an email address. There’s no wallet requirement, and a Sunflower Land account isn’t needed either.
No new token
Rather than launch a token for the game, Thought Farm is sticking with $FLOWER — the same asset that powers the studio’s other titles.
Early $FLOWER deposits translate into pre-registration points. Players can put those deposits to use in-game or pull them out tax-free once access is granted.
The team spells out that choice in its documentation, where it also argues that five straight years of operation settles any doubt about whether the project will still exist a year from now.
Three rewards, won three ways
A Monster Egg goes to every trainer who registers. It’s an in-game item rather than an NFT, and it simply shows up on the player’s farm at first login — nothing needs claiming.
Through the Trainer Point airdrop, a Monster NFT goes to the leaderboard’s top 5,000 trainers. Legendary Monster NFTs are reserved for the top 1,000.
On top of that, pre-registered trainers gain entry to a free mint of 10,000 Monster NFTs on Ronin, set for Oct. 1.
None of the three rewards cancels out another — a single player can walk away with all of them.
Rank decides the wave
The Q4 2026 early access period will roll out in stages. Which wave a trainer joins depends on their Season 0 leaderboard rank, and eligibility stops at the top 100,000.
Registering early won’t buy anyone a better place in the queue. According to the documentation, an early sign-up determines a better egg type — that’s the extent of it. It confers no early access, holds no spot, guarantees no Monster NFT and pushes nobody up the leaderboard. Points are what do that.
Elsewhere, an unofficial player portal operating under the handle @Yakkamon_World published a code rollout on Aug. 1 linked to Sunflower Land accounts: Bumpkin Level 50 and above go first at 8 p.m. ET, with codes obtained in the Plaza via the Yakkamon sign beside Stella and redeemed at yakkamon.com, followed by Level 20 and above a day later, and referral-code entry opening up to everyone from Aug. 5. None of those timings have been confirmed through official channels.
What the game is
Yakkamon blends idle farming automation with creature collecting and battling. Trainers track down wild monsters and then set them to work harvesting resources and farming while the player is offline.
The game includes gear crafting, a gym players build and arena bouts against rival trainers. Launch is accompanied by new NFT collections, the Monster NFT drop among them.
Sunflower Land has drawn more than 1 million players and over 100 open source contributors over five years of development carried out in public.
Background
Day-to-day operations and gameplay production for Sunflower Land and Bumpkins.io fall to Thought Farm Pty Ltd. Adam Hannigan is listed as CEO and founder, and also holds the titles of game designer and solution architect.
What became the studio began as a side project between three friends, then called Sunflower Farmers. The game went viral in January 2022 and clogged Polygon for a week. Pressed by the community to go full time, the group did — and Thought Farm followed.
In 2022 it took the Australian Blockchain Startup of the Year title.
With the sign-up window attracting attention, the team has also issued a warning: yakkamon.com is the sole official website, @playyakkamon the sole official X account and docs.yakkamon.com the sole official documentation. Pre-registration asks for nothing more than an email address, and Yakkamon will never request a seed phrase or private key.
