YGG Pilipinas, the regional partner of YGG in the Philippines, recently released a short film titled “Metaverse Filipino Worker” on YouTube.
The film highlights how web3 technology is revolutionizing the work of Filipinos, showcasing the stories of individuals from various backgrounds in Metro Manila, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija.
Premiering at the YGG Play Summit event in Manila in November 2024, the film was written, narrated, and directed by Leah Callon-Butler, the director of Emfarsis, a web3 venture. Callon-Butler is also known for creating the 2021 short film “Play-to-Earn: NFT Gaming in the Philippines.”
The film delves into the significant impact of web3 technology on the lives of community members associated with YGG Pilipinas, shedding light on the transformative potential of this innovative approach in their everyday work experiences.
