Youmio has officially launched a new Layer 1 blockchain, explicitly built for autonomous AI agents, utilizing Avalanche as its core infrastructure.
The platform is designed to offer scalable, transparent, and secure tools for building intelligent digital entities that can learn, evolve, and act independently across decentralized environments.
Built for AI Agent Autonomy and Transparency
Unlike general-purpose blockchains, Youmio’s network is tailored to support AI agents with their own identities, wallets, and metadata. These agents are capable of completing tasks autonomously in games, apps, and web3 platforms.
Each action an agent takes can be recorded on-chain as cryptographic proof, enabling transparency and a verifiable history of behavior.
Developers can build agents with modular skillsets that grow over time, making them more intelligent and adaptable. This design tackles rising concerns around AI accountability by placing memory and decision-making on a public blockchain, where users can audit behavior and adjust privacy settings as needed.
Why Avalanche Was Chosen
Youmio selected Avalanche due to its strong performance, fast transaction speeds, and ability to host custom Layer 1 networks through its Layer 0 design. Avalanche currently supports millions of wallets and sees high monthly activity, providing the infrastructure needed for agents to operate at scale.
The platform’s fast finality is critical for agents that need to respond instantly in real-time environments. Avalanche’s flexible architecture ensures Youmio can maintain speed and reliability without losing operational independence.
Mios: Customizable On-Chain AI Characters
As part of its launch, Youmio introduced “Mios,” intelligent 3D characters with memory and customizable personalities. These agents can take on different roles like influencer, trader, or gamer, and move between platforms while retaining their behavior data.
A unique token structure supports networks of agents under a single token, enabling shared incentives and coordinated interactions between multiple agents. This approach opens the door to building more complex systems with measurable agent performance and utility.
Supporting the Broader Ecosystem
Youmio is also involved in Avalanche’s $15 million InfraBUIDL(AI) initiative, which funds AI infrastructure projects on the network. CEO Michael O’Connor is part of the program’s investment committee, helping to identify promising builders and guide their development.
Through this role, Youmio will support new teams with funding, tools, and guidance, further expanding the decentralized AI ecosystem.
From Game Developer to Infrastructure Leader
The Youmio team originally entered the web3 space through a social simulation game, Today The Game. In early 2025, they shifted their focus to infrastructure and rebranded as Youmio to reflect a deeper commitment to foundational AI tools.
Today, Youmio offers more than a technical framework—it provides a path to trustworthy and transparent AI. By combining blockchain principles with intelligent systems, the platform aims to redefine how agents operate across the digital world.
