Pudgy Penguins Teams With LBank on 500,000 USDT Reward Blitz

pudgy penguins teams with lbank on 500000 usdt reward blitz In Brief:

In Brief:

  • On Aug. 7, LBank kicked off a 500,000 USDT rewards campaign together with a brand partnership with Pudgy Penguins — the exchange’s first arrangement of its kind with the IP.
  • The payouts span futures, spot, lucky draws, leaderboard contests and locked earn products, with a 120,000 USDT pool set aside exclusively for new users.
  • PENGU sits near $0.0062, roughly 90.9% under its all-time high, and another vesting unlock is scheduled for mid-August.

Payouts on LBank’s 500,000 USDT campaign began Aug. 7, the same day the exchange unveiled a brand partnership with Pudgy Penguins. According to LBank, no other platform has struck this type of deal with the penguin IP before.

Five tracks divide the prize pool: futures trading, spot markets, lucky draws, leaderboard competitions and asset management products. Existing accounts are eligible alongside new ones, but the biggest single allocation is aimed at first-time users.

Where the money goes

Newcomers have 120,000 USDT reserved for them. Sign up, satisfy the deposit requirement, and a 10 USDT futures bonus hits the account. Add spot or futures trading on top — clearing both the deposit and first-trade volume thresholds — and a further 5 USDT follows.

Traders who stay active can collect as many as seven lucky draw entries. Prizes range from 1 BTC and an iPhone 17 at the top end down to Pudgy Penguins merchandise and futures bonus credits.

Futures leaderboard contests run in four rounds across the campaign window, with each user’s weekly payout capped at 500 USDT. LBank has also bundled interest boost coupons worth up to 100% APR with its 30-day locked earn products.

The pitch

The exchange presented the tie-up as a channel for introducing Pudgy Penguins to its user base — which LBank pegs at over 25 million — while funneling that audience toward spot, stocks, derivatives and earn products housed on one platform.

“Markets are no longer satisfied with innovation in products alone,” said Eric He, community angel officer and risk control adviser at LBank. In his view, the value of a Web3 community is judged by resilience and connection sustained over time instead of by a single cycle, and he cited Pudgy Penguins as proof that culture can generate durable influence.

He turns up repeatedly on LBank campaign announcements. He was the face of the exchange’s 5,000,000 USDT “Super League” promotion in June, as well as a 310,000 USDT Spring Festival event back in February.

Where PENGU stands

CoinGecko data put PENGU around $0.0062 on Friday, a gain of about 2.5% on the day and 6.7% over the week. Its market cap stood close to $389.9 million — good for 108th place — on roughly $50.6 million of 24-hour volume.

That leaves the token about 90.9% below its $0.06845 peak and around 67% above its $0.003715 bottom.

Background

Ahead of Aug. 7, LBank teased the event with a digital toy capsule vending machine pitched at the “huddle,” the name the Pudgy Penguins community gives itself. “$500,000 in rewards. The huddle is officially in,” read the exchange’s post, which promised more drops and experiences to come.

Across web platforms, Pudgy Penguins content has topped 450 billion views, largely on the back of GIFs and memes. Pengu plushies landed in every US Target store on July 19, after earlier trading card and toy runs at the same retailer.

Token releases continue on a monthly cadence. July 17 saw the most recent one, and the next is expected in mid-August. Of a total supply approaching 79.4 billion, roughly 20.5 billion PENGU is still locked.
