In Brief:
- Grand Season 2 is now open on Delabs Play, and a 50 million $CHAD pool will be divided according to premium score.
- Competition dates are Sept. 17 to Oct. 14 UTC, though any points banked since Sept. 1 are already in play.
- This marks the first complete season since reward routing for GIGACHADBAT shifted to Delabs Play on Aug. 1, the day Yield Guild Games shuttered YGG Play.
Delabs has kicked off Grand Season 2 on Delabs Play, staking 50 million $CHAD in a pool that distributes rewards based on premium score.
The competition window stretches from Sept. 17 to Oct. 14 UTC. Because points collected since Sept. 1 already count toward a player’s tally, anyone who has been grinding over the last fortnight begins with something on the board. Joining requires nothing more than logging in at play.delabs.gg.

How the score gets set
Premium score is generated through GIGACHADBAT’s Premium Mode, in which players burn pBalls and stack score multipliers. Land a successful hit and you draw Boost Cards, which can either shield a score or push rewards higher.
Failure is punishing, though. An “Out” wipes the entire stake, while a Foul brings a penalty.
New token utility feeds the season
Grand Season 2 follows a pair of changes to the role $CHAD plays inside the game. The token can now be spent directly on Premium Balls, and stakers receive bigger score boosters.
Until those updates, staking was the only in-game use for the token. It handed back free pBalls for daily quests and premium matches, and unlocked event access plus staking-gated modes linked to league progression.
Tier placement is calculated on a seven-day average. Each day at 00:00 UTC the system records a player’s lowest staked balance over the prior 24 hours, then averages seven such readings — meaning a single-day spike isn’t enough to lift anyone into a better bracket. Neither a cooldown nor a lock-in period applies.
Delabs Play replaced YGG Play
Responsibility for reward routing passed to Delabs on Aug. 1, once Yield Guild Games closed down its publishing arm. YGG Play went dark July 31, costing 35 jobs, as YGG redirected its focus toward supplying data to AI companies.
In the handover, GIGACHADBAT came back to Delabs while Ragnarok Breaker moved to Planetarium Labs. LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper were shut down for good, with purchase functions and platform mission systems for both titles already disabled at 3 p.m. Singapore time on July 9.
The transition also erased premium points. Anything earned prior to the Aug. 1 snapshot is being airdropped as $YGG, while points accrued after it can be redeemed on Delabs Play.
Token background
$CHAD made its debut on the YGG Play Launchpad in February, built on Abstract and capped at a supply of 5,000,000,000 tokens. Its presale ran from Feb. 4 to Feb. 6, with deployment arriving Feb. 13 at a fully diluted valuation of $500,000. The token trades exclusively on decentralized exchanges, and no centralized listings are on the roadmap.
Ten percent of supply went to the Play-to-Airdrop program, spread over two seasons. Season 1, which ran Jan. 21 to Feb. 3, handed out 5% and counted in-game spend dating back to September.
Over its lifetime, YGG Play brought in more than $9.6 million in revenue — $8.59 million of it from LOL Land (official site) by itself. During the second quarter of 2026, the platform recorded upwards of $541,000 across LOL Land, Waifu Sweeper and GIGACHADBAT.
Yield Guild Games co-founder Gabby Dizon said revenue hit its high point in October 2025 and blamed the Oct. 10 liquidation event for sapping both confidence and liquidity among the casual degen crowd. The 2026 YGG Play Summit was canceled.
“Sunsetting YGG Play is a heavy decision, but it is a market decision, not a product decision,” Dizon said.
