Monthly Melee 3 on Oct. 7 is the last chance to qualify before Parallel finalizes the CC Cup field

In Brief:

• Parallel (official site) has scheduled Monthly Melee 3 for 11 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Players can register through Echelon’s Versus platform.
• Parallel will finalize the guest list for the first Community Clash (CC) Cup after MM3. No other event comes before that.
• The CC Cup is tentatively planned for Thursday, Oct. 29, and Parallel said it will share more details next week.

The third Monthly Melee runs Wednesday, Oct. 7, starting at 11 a.m. EST. After it ends, Parallel will lock in the players for its first CC Cup.

In a post on X, Parallel wrote: “This will be the last event before we finalize the guest list for the first-ever CC Cup, which is tentatively set for Thursday 10/29.”

Sign-ups for MM3 are handled on Echelon’s Versus tournament site. Parallel hasn’t said what format the third event will use, how many players it will include or what the prizes are. The studio said more CC Cup information will follow next week.

Last bid on the table

Every Monthly Melee winner earns a place in the CC Cup. That makes MM3 the last chance to get an invitation through the series before the Oct. 29 event.

The Oct. 29 date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Parallel also hasn’t said how many players the CC Cup will have or whether there will be any other way into it.

Ladder-gated entry

Only players who placed in the Top 100 of the previous month’s ranked ladder can enter the Monthly Melee. The series has no open registration, side qualifier or wildcard WC $0.0002876 ▼ -26.6% spot.

For Monthly Melee 2, which Parallel scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, players had to be in the Top 100 when the season rolled over. Parallel has not announced the MM2 results.

How the series started

The first Monthly Melee was a four-round, best-of-one Swiss event. Before it started, Parallel expanded the field from 16 to 24 players. The winner received customizable prizes and a CC Cup bid.

DualNoteTCG won MM1. According to Parallel, the player was ranked 28th on the leaderboard and beat the players ranked sixth, 10th, 12th and 13th to earn a CC Cup spot.

The Monthly Melee is part of Parallel’s Community Clash program, which ties the studio’s recurring grassroots tournaments to the CC Cup. The program also includes events such as CC7, a Haven set tournament where decks could only use cards from the newest expansion.

So far, the only CC Cup seat Parallel has announced publicly belongs to the 28th-ranked MM1 winner.
