Nine Chronicles rewards players for its sixth anniversary
Nine Chronicles has kicked off celebrations for its sixth anniversary, pledging more than 4 million NCG to its players, called Adventurers, to drive up engagement. The festivities are split into two phases. The first is already live, and a content update is set to arrive on October 20.
Arena, the game’s competitive PvP mode, accounts for the largest share of the pool at 3.2 million NCG. There, players can push up the rankings and earn seasonal rewards. The setup is meant to heat up competition over the coming two months and give players a reason to stay active.
Other anniversary perks include doubled payouts through a 2x boost, a Stage 500 Mission that rewards players for finishing the current main campaign, and Monthly Spend Missions that award bonuses tied to in-game spending. Newer and returning players get Growth Boosts to help them level up faster. Every player will also receive an Adventurer’s Rune, which is key to strengthening characters.
The October 20 update will bring Hard World 2, a new Anniversary Dungeon, and permanent Collections and Titles. Hard World 2 ramps the difficulty up considerably, and players will need Catalyst Potions, which they can earn through in-game activities, to take it on. Because Collections and Titles are permanent, players will keep their achievements once the anniversary period wraps up.
The celebration comes shortly after version 200490, which added Grade 9 items as the game’s top tier. Between new runes, reworked Adventure Boss content and the Bifrost Reforged event dungeon, the game has an especially packed content lineup for the end of the year.
