ETH on Robinhood now handles payouts

All of the game’s money now goes through the new chain. “Store purchases, Prize Pool payouts, and Jackpot withdrawals are now in ETH on Robinhood,” according to the team.

Those payments are central to how the game works. Crowns can be bought with ETH or earned through quests and social features, and a portion of what players spend on Crowns feeds a Weekly Prize Pool and a Jackpot. Last month the studio raised that portion to 85% of spending across both pools. The announcement didn’t say how the 85% is divided between them.

Passes unlock certain modes and bonus rewards. Right now there’s a Loot Pass, a Pro Loot Pass and a VIP Pass. The Loot Pass update is also what added the gated Champions’ Arena mode.

What’s behind the move

The switch follows a pinned post from Oct. 9 in which Tollan Universe said “Abstract Chain is shutting down.” Abstract hasn’t issued its own statement confirming it.

That same update promised EVM wallet support the following week and said every purchase and withdrawal would shift to Robinhood Chain from Oct. 19. The wallet support and migration tools arrived on that schedule.

Robinhood Chain is Robinhood's Ethereum Layer 2 and is built on the Arbitrum stack. The public testnet launched Feb. 10, and mainnet followed on July 1.

Foretold’s third chain switch

Foretold Studios has relocated its games before. It first moved its main titles from Immutable to XAI, then brought Tollan Universe to Abstract, where the game launched on Dec. 1, 2025.

Tollan Universe is a free-to-play, survivors-style roguelike on PC and web. In each run, players hold off waves of enemies, collect and upgrade elemental powers and take on bosses.

Prize pools in earlier seasons were funded in USDC. Season 1, the Ogre Hunt, kicked off with a $3,000 seed-funded pool. Season 2 began with a 4,000 USDC kickstart prize from the studio, and 70% of Crown purchases went into the pool.

The payouts grew on Abstract. In its Week 17 recap, the team reported “$13,500+ paid out across prize pool, jackpot, and referrals,” along with 35,335 Reward Chests dropped, 253 Jackpots claimed and 7,994 runs played. When Week 17 opened, $19,000 was building across the Jackpot and Prize Pool.
