kintaras halloween event adds haunted chests and rare zombie masks to its solana mmo In Brief:

In Brief:

  • Kintara (official site) has switched on a Halloween event in its Solana browser MMO, bringing Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics and rare Zombie Mask drops.
  • The release also includes event mounts, pets and furniture, and the team says all of it is live now.
  • It follows two October announcements: the Sunken Isles, Kintara’s first open-water biome, and the game’s first ranged weapon.

Halloween content has arrived in Kintara, with Haunted Chests, limited cosmetics and rare Zombie Mask drops now in the game.

The team announced the event on X through its @PlayKintara account: “Halloween has taken over Kintara.”

Trick or treat?

The release also adds event mounts, pets and furniture. According to the post, the content and “more” are “now live.” The post gave no end date and no Zombie Mask drop rate, and it didn’t explain how Haunted Chests get opened.

Mounts and furniture

Several of the seasonal items plug into systems players already use. The furniture suits the Apartments introduced in version 3.6, an update that also brought a multi-page banking system and a Merchant Cycle.

Mounts matter in Kintara’s economy. Once the Stablemaster Gilding feature went live, players burned more than 3,829 mounts over two days, which reduced total mount supply.

The team hasn’t confirmed whether the Halloween mounts can be gilded or traded on the Marketplace.

A busy October

Kintara has now made three content announcements this month, and the Halloween event is the latest.

The first came on Oct. 7, when the team revealed that the Sunken Isles are on the way. Players will sail east from The Shores to reach the game’s first open-water biome, which contains three explorable isles, coral reefs, shipwrecks and a deep-sea trench. The zone’s ultra-rare drops include the Coral Crown, a Trident and a Kraken mount.

On Oct. 8, a day later, Kintara introduced its first ranged weapon. Sahriel the Bowbinder set up shop in the Dunes with a Bow priced at 50 gold and 20 Arrows for 1 gold. Bows reach up to four tiles and have a 1-in-3 chance to land a 40-damage hit, on players and mobs alike.

Background

Kintara went live on May 22, 2026. It’s an isometric MMO played in the browser, with nothing to download. Players gather, craft, quest and fight in PvE and PvP, and each player’s Solana wallet doubles as their account.

Two currencies run the game. Gold handles everyday activity, while $KINS is the onchain token. Players can earn $KINS by selling gold on the open Marketplace, winning PvP wagers in the Wilderness or pulling rare fishing drops.

Marketplace sellers keep 95% of every sale. The other 5% is a fee that once went entirely to the treasury. It’s now split, with 2.5% burned and 2.5% going to the treasury.

In August, Kintara arrived on Solana Mobile. The game’s official guide names “Merchants and events” as one of the ways gold enters its economy.

The Halloween post closed with a two-word question for players: “Trick or treat?”
