XRP has printed a death cross, with its 50-day moving average dropping below the 200-day average around $1.37. Traders usually take that crossover as evidence that momentum is fading. The token now sits at $1.30, comfortably under both averages.

The crossover matches the recent price action. Over the past 30 days XRP has lost about 15%. It’s down 29% year to date and 48% across the last 12 months.

Resistance stacks up at $1.40

XRP’s last rally stalled close to $1.40. A cluster of moving averages has gathered at that price, and together they’re capping any move higher.

Resistance also sits a little lower. The 100-day average, at roughly $1.33, now works against the price as well, which means bulls have two barriers to clear before a rebound means much.

Demand has dried up

Volume has dropped hard since the heavy buying in August. Put simply, there isn’t much appetite from buyers at the moment.

RSI is hovering around 40. That’s a weak reading but not yet oversold, so the price could fall further before a bounce looks likely.

Support levels under $1.30

$1.25 is the first floor. It’s the most recent low, and buyers defended it twice. A daily close beneath that level would put $1.20 in view, followed by $1.15.

If selling picks up, $1.00 becomes a target. In August, that round number kept the price from sliding lower.

The path back up

The first job for bulls is reclaiming $1.33. Beyond that, the range to watch runs from $1.37 to $1.40.

A decisive close above it would take some of the bite out of the death cross and could open a move toward $1.50. The next target after that is $1.65, which was October’s high.

Futures traders lean bullish

On Binance and OKX, long-to-short ratios sit above 3, meaning most accounts on those exchanges expect the price to climb. In a downtrend that positioning is dangerous, because crowded long trades tend to get wiped out.

Part of that flush has already played out. Long positions accounted for most of the $7.25 million liquidated in the last 24 hours, and futures flows have turned to net outflows over the past four to eight hours.

For now the trend belongs to sellers. Bulls would need a strong daily close above $1.40 to flip it, and until then $1.25 is the level to keep an eye on.
