Interpol has issued a red notice for Crypto Mogul Richard Schueler.

Interpol, the international police organization, has issued a Red Notice for Richard Schueler, the founder of cryptocurrency projects Hex and PulseChain, known in the crypto community as Richard Heart.

Schueler is sought by Finnish authorities on charges of massive tax evasion and assault on a minor, sparking international efforts to locate and detain him for extradition.

Escalating Legal Challenges and SEC’s Serious Allegations

According to reports from Europol, Schueler has allegedly evaded taxes amounting to hundreds of millions of euros and is also accused of assaulting a 16-year-old. The details of the assault describe a violent encounter where the victim was repeatedly punched, resulting in severe facial injuries and bleeding.

These serious allegations add to Schueler’s growing legal woes, including an ongoing lawsuit with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The SEC lawsuit, filed in July 2023, charges Schueler with conducting unregistered securities offerings and engaging in fraudulent activities.

The SEC claims that Schueler raised over $1 billion in crypto assets from investors through offerings of Hex, PulseChain, and PulseX, while allegedly diverting at least $12 million to fund an extravagant lifestyle, including the purchase of luxury cars, high-end watches, and a notable 555-carat black diamond.

Community Reaction and Defense

In response to these mounting legal issues, Schueler has taken to social media to defend his reputation and contributions to charity, claiming to have raised $27 million for charitable causes. His statements suggest dismissal of the allegations as attempts by detractors to undermine his success in the cryptocurrency sector.

The issuance of a Red Notice by Interpol does not equate to an arrest warrant. Still, it is a significant international call for Schueler’s location and detention for potential extradition based on the legal standards of the country where he is found. This move signifies the seriousness of the charges and the international cooperation sought by Finnish authorities in addressing these allegations.
