This hacking incident was the first time an exploiter had hit the project in five years, the co-founder of Kyber Network said.
Wow! Another crypto hacking incident occurred, as the well-known decentralized exchange, KyberSwap suffered losses of more than $250,000. The exploit was identified early by KyberSwap’s team, and solved the issue a couple of hours.
Their report: “At 3.24 pm GMT+7, we identified a suspicious element on our frontend.” “Shutting down our frontend to conduct investigations, we identified a malicious code in our Google Tag Manager (GTM) and immediately disabled it.”
Two addresses were affected by the exploit, resulting in $256k in funds lost. KyberSwap ensured that the users would be compensated while also saying that the attacker was targeting whale wallets.
A $40,000 Bounty
KyberSwap offers $40,000 to the hackers if they return the money stolen. Guess what? No funds have been returned.
