Ethereum Layer 2 project Lisk has partnered with Indonesian web3 game studio Creo Engine to onboard the first game to its network. The game is set to launch on Lisk in the first quarter of 2025.

Lisk, known for its optimization for high-transaction applications like games, focuses on the APAC region, where blockchain technology in gaming has been rapidly adopted. By teaming up with Creo Engine, which boasts 150 live games and 20,000 wallet signups on its platform, Lisk aims to expand its regional presence.

COO of Lisk, Dominic Schwenter, expressed his optimism about the partnership, stating, “Creo Engine’s success in the web3 gaming space and their ability to scale games across multiple blockchains make them the perfect partner as we look to grow the gaming ecosystem on Lisk. This collaboration highlights Lisk’s dedication to supporting founders and developers in high-growth markets.”

Creo Engine is a cross-chain platform that integrates with various networks such as Ethereum, Solana, and zkEVM, allowing game developers the flexibility to choose their preferred blockchain for development.

Darrel Wijaya, co-founder of Creo Engine, shared his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “Lisk’s innovative approach to Layer 2 solutions and their focus on high-growth markets align perfectly with our mission to create an accessible and flexible web3 gaming ecosystem. We are eager to start deploying games on Lisk and to expand our partnership further.”
